Good video. My buddy hunts with a super Nova. He’s had it at least 10 years. He loves it, but honestly, I’ve watched so many of his hunts end as fast as they start because of short striking primers or it not locking fully into battery.
Yeah it seems every shotgun has it issue. My Stoeger’s bolt has to be cleaned religiously, the Winchester SXP has had issues whenever my buddy shoots it as it locks into the battery and won’t unlock, my Beretta A400/Retay/Girsan will not cycle with any rounds less than 1200 fr/second, sometimes this hobby drives me! But I do really like all of them regardless of their quirks.
New to shooting. First gun I bought is the 12 Gauge Winchester SXP same one in video. So far love it easy to shoot. Just shot 3 inch through it and not bad little kick. Try to 3 1/2 inch in it eventually. Excited!
I agree completely ive owned both and now i only own one the Benelli supernova is king !! I donreally love the BPS as well i shoot that really well but I think I still keep my supermova 😅
Great video I’m happy I stumbled onto it , I’m a novice waterfowl hunter , I liked how you mentioned the supernova’s reliability but something has me drawn to the SXP , what is the wieght of the SXP ? Cheers 🇨🇦
That is so awesome. I found one in Calgary for 535. I think it comes with three chokes. are usually get my own extended trucks anyways. Have you got a chance to shoot it yet?
@@elite-sportshooting yes i shot a squirrel on the run probably 40 yards away my dog tree'd him but as i was shooting trying to nail him the gun was awasome and i've used lots of different shotguns over the years but the Beneli was just a natural felt like i was shooting an auto loader the pump system worked so well but anyway i finally got the squirrel on the run with the third shot , thinking of getting a riffled choke tube for foster slugs and getting a deer with that and full choke for buckshot
How do you not understand that the Winchester 1245 fps is faster and has more energy than the challenger at 1200 fps? Did you mix up the brands? I shoot Kent 1oz steel loads at 1290 fps for sporting clays.
Hey Joshua, sorry bud I went back and listened to it again. I did say 1245 ft per second. (WTH)They are actually 1145 ft per second. Thank you for the info, I will try to edit that out or redo that video. Any round that has a muzzle velocity 1145 ft per second will not cycle some of my shotguns. They are very expensive single action shotguns. Thank you for watching the video.
I got this one used at Cabela’s. It was the floor model that goes in and out of the vault every night , so it had a few scratches on it and I paid 785ish Canadian for it. I took it apart, and I could tell it has never been fired. Brand new $850. Canadian.
@@elite-sportshooting I don’t own one. But I do like the super nova I borrowed one to do some trap shooting with a few years back and I enjoyed shooting it. I am in the market for a water fowling gun so I was looking into the viability of a pump with the super nova atop my list, but I think I am leaning more towards a semi, the beretta a300.
@@blackflag_fishing well you won’t be disappointed with the A300. I love mine. Cleaning it is a little more tricky than the A400 but that would cost significantly more. I just picked up the Benelli Nova and I’m waiting for some better weather to check it out. But really excited to have some fun with it. Let me know how you made out and what shotgun you chose and what your thoughts are? Cheers!

Benelli super nova for 850? Are you talking about usd or some other currency here?

@@elite-sportshooting ok makes more sense. They are about $550 usd, I was totally confused and thought I was thinking of the wrong gun.
@@blackflag_fishing ahhh gotcha sometimes I forget to say the price in US dollars. Do you like the Super Nova? Do you have one?
