When we know Drake got beef in the streets with the weekend but the trying to blame Kendrick I hope he sues the new defamation of character
They're covering the fact that the beef IS the story, while constantly stating that there's absolutely no evidence of it. To be clear I realize conservative media personalities like Tucker Carlson do this all the time by putting up a photo of Biden or Trudeau, and then an unsavoury character that has no connection to them like Geoffrey Epstein -- followed by them saying "we're just asking questions here" to absolve themselves of accountability. Sadly, the inference can have legs of its own and find its way into the zeitgeist. I don't think this is the same thing since the main story IS the speculation that the shooting is connected.
That being said they just shouldn't mention it at all -- credit CBC's coverage for pointing out that the press are being irresponsible for pushing this.

That's exactly why Drake's probably loving this. I mean they don't know if Drake was home or not? I wouldn't be surprised if this was a jussie Smollett to get sympathy for getting destroyed in the battle. They're trying to ruin hip hop, and make it look bad. They're going to try and blame Kendrick for this. It was probably some dumb kids or some people that are stupid cause they can't believe that they could've shot up Drake's house if they really wanted to kill him.

You know if you study criminolgy this situation would've been the perfect opportunity for someone else other then Lamar to go after Drake. Suing over a diss track would effectively end drakes career. Any lawyer would advise him not to do this because of the further damage it would do to his career.
