I loved that they made Baris story of her rejoining back to the light in the show about showing the evil people of the empire because it is part of the central themes of the franchise of people rejoining to the side of good from falling from grace to the side of evil.
That's all star wars does since JJ took over. Bits of stories that don't tell you enough or screw the ending up(bad batch).
Yeah it honestly makes for a pretty rough viewing experience 😂

I believe that they needed at least 5+ episodes for each character because TotJ we clearly knew the characters of Ahsoka and Dooku pretty well, so we did need to fill in the blanks because we knew what they were doing like Ahsoka's 2nd and 3rd episode we knew what she was doing in between those episodes fighting in the war, leaving the order, surviving Order 66, etc. They needed more time to develop these characters in the show so we would have cared more and understood the characters more.

Every time Vader refers back to his past as Anakin, he really tries to separate and distance himself from the persona of Anakin. Of course, he always mentions that he killed Anakin, which could be interpreted as killing a part of himself, but he also does that to distance himself from his Jedi past. All that matters to Vader is his life as a Sith, not a Jedi, so he distances himself from Anakin and the past, but clearly, his past still haunts him cause he was staring at Bariss for a bit before he was about to sit on his throne.

Good takes, ive been saying ever since Disney took over, not counting just how awful the sequels were, there is literally nobody EVIL/BAD anymore in Star Wars, theyre just pulling random redemption arcs out of their asses because "being evil is bad and we ahould forgive bad people" 😂

Great video. Just subscribed. I did not watch cuz I could see what was coming from the trailer. Your video touched well on all 3 main problems I have with Star Wars right now.
1. Why are we even getting this story about [insert character here]? This time Morgan.
2. What is with this pattern of constantly redeeming bad guys/villains in every plot line? This time Barris.
3. Why are characters with history not fighting or at least addressing past beef? I thought the same as you when I saw Barris in a room with Vader. How does he not try and kill her due to their past?
I didn’t even need to watch the show to know all 3 would be issues.

I think a Tales of the Sith would be so boring we already know how Vader became who he was, and we got Dooku already, so that left Sidious and Maul, which could be coolish, but I think we understand them enough, especially Maul with him in Clone Wars and in Rebels. Plus, I think The Acolyte is going to show us more about SIth, so I feel that is why they did not do a Tales of the Sith.
Dude first of all you’re the fuckin man for all the feedback thanks for the comments, not even just counting sith characters from clone wars we could have seen a mini series about darth bane or darth plaguesis i mean those would have been great ‘tales of the sith’ , acolyte does have the potential to be a ‘ tales of the sith’ type show although I’m a bit skeptical so far from the trailers, ‘the sith’ lore in general is a pretty untapped resource for SW I hope they really get into the origins of things

I disagree like nah they weren’t “shoehorned in” just to have woman characters. Morgan Elsbeth is highly relevant to the current stories in SW rn and Bariss Offee’s fate has been something people have wondered about since her temple bombing arc in Clone Wars.
Like I’m not even arguing that there weren’t like cooler choices they could’ve done episodes about but yeah.
In terms of a ‘tales of the empire’ story though, they definitely could have picked characters that actually had more affiliation with the empire, bariss story was definitely more true to the show but come on we’ve already seen how Morgan’s whole life plays out, this show doesn’t add anything new or relevant it feels like her entire 3 episode arc is just so we can see a 5 min scene of her and thrawn meeting
an, its not about vadere, its about Barriss in empire era, Vader dont care about anakin, ahsoka, barriss he care about just Padme. with this series Filoni fix back Barriss and make her to back like legends, she make a very wrong action but she do it because she think in that time was the only way ( a child in a war with a lot trauma without anybody to speack with her or support like ahsoka have it ). She was always good but with the fear and trauma she fall ( not complet ) to the dark side and let her emotion to judge her action. she realize in prisont that and when she saw the empire was more worse, PS: filoni sacrificed Barriss to create a story and explain why Ahsoka was not in the events of ROTS at that time and now He fix Barriss back like she was in legend
I know it’s not about Vader, my man only gets 5 seconds of screen time lol, you bring up some good points but also I think Vader definitely cares about alot more people than just padme, (mainly obi wan and ahsoka) even though he’s trying to leave anakins life behind him, there’s multiple scenes in multiple shows (clone wars ending, rebels, obi wan ) that show that past history bleed through
@@BoundLunar Vader is cool but, when I use it too much in projects it devalues it, it becomes boring because you know you're always there, it's good for big projects. If I use it everywhere, it no longer has that suspense, for example rogue one, it was a slander, but if I use it everywhere now, it no longer has that charm
@@ovidiuionut1928with Vader specifically I think people were a little let down since they showed him in the trailer but he doesn’t really do much in the show it was almost clickbait-y, that’s a solid point tho he’s def a character that shouldn’t be overused I just wish they didn’t show him at all
