    Wow! I was curious about the sound of this plug and your generous demo really shows it well. More importantly, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, your playing is world class throughout. Especially at the end, the chorus sound with the distorted solo. Truly excellent.

    @HewittH Thanks a lot for your comment! I'm glad you liked the demo and my playing. This is a great plugin.

    Your ears are not wrong mate. I got this yesterday, and ....jeez! It sounds better than my axe fx 2.
    It really sounds like a tube amb. so powerfull too. works perfect for metal, rock, blues...everything

    • @KyleCarrington
      @KyleCarrington 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      elguitarTom you still favor it over your axe fx2, really?

    • @elguitarTom
      @elguitarTom 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      KyleCarrington I have sold my Axe Fx 2. Now I am using Bias FX by positive grid.
      200 dollars vs 5000 dollars and sounding better.

    • @kordaxmint533
      @kordaxmint533 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +elguitarTom lol, you're definitely deaf.
      I own Bias and it's not even close to Axe Fx2.
      I have hard times getting real identical sounds with Bias, while Axe Fx2 sounds so close to my Engl Poweball head, unlike Bias, which sounds not even close!
      Yes, maybe Fractal Audio is not a real tube amp, but it is way better than any of these shitty amp sims that are more about marketing, not actual chain modeling.

    • @elguitarTom
      @elguitarTom 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      kordax mint Fractal Audio / Axe Fx 2 is an amp sim, so you just called your beloved overpriced product shit

    • @jonlindsey4114
      @jonlindsey4114 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +kordax mint Bias is pretty much the most customizable sim on the market, for both desktop and Ipad, but if you dont know what youre doing or how to get a good sound from it I guess it can sound like shit.
      At the end of the day a lot of it depends on whos using it. You can give someone a $3000.00 Moog synthesizer but if they dont know how to program its, its gonna sound like shit, and they usually will blame it on the synth.

    @Reaper1984 Hey one of the main things that produced the noise is that I was using a home pc which was connected to a wall with many other things, and the cables in the house were old. But if this is used in maybe a laptop with a nice interface and nice cables, how one is supposed to do, it sounds incredible awesome and no noise at all. I am gonna start doing new demos with new interface and laptop!

    Just got the DEMO thanks to this vid. Responds really nice with Behringer Vintage Overdrive ahead. I also like using ReValver at the same time (little bit nicer for the low end IMO).

    Hey everyone! Happy 2020. Just wanted to say that this video is very old and I recorded it through a SoundBlaster Card with a very basic Epiphone Les Paul with Stock Pickups, so if you think the sound is not that great, just download the software and try it for yourself, as my setup back then was really really bad and does not do justice to this amp.

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Tuscopa hey man! I'm using internal Cab Impulses. All the impulses I use are from Studio Devil.

    The cleans are wonderful. The heavier the distortion, the worse it gets. I like Guitar rig, but it's got the same problem. I might invest in this though. I can tell it's got some great tones.

  • @theo7491
    @theo7491 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @LogitechXibanga yes you can plug an amp into your pc, however, depending on what type of amp you have, it might not sound too good. i personally plug my stereo system into my laptop and it sounds great

    @matias4000 Hello,
    What kind of host do you use?" Requires a VST, Audio Units, or RTAS audio host for Windows or Mac OS X. " I cant open the plug in as a stand alone. Using the free edition,

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Rickles This is an awesome soft, you probably already tried it by now. But like i said, get nice cables, nice interface, and it will blow your mind. the thing I like about it is that, you don't to tweak it that much to get nice tones, as guitar rig and revalver, where I had to tweak as hell to get a tone. And besides, lets face it, i got a tube amp, and this soft has a tube feel, and I can definitely state that.

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ivarthurvi I'll be posting new videos about this software, with different guitars. My guitar has a lot to do and the interface i was using. This is an awesome software, and like if you dont like the impulses here, you can add your own impulses. Besides you have to remember this, if you connect Studio Devil to a real Cab, it blows your mind, try it. Now, if you try to record yourself with an expensive amplifier, you will need a nice mic, a nice pre amp, a nice mixer of course, among many things

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could either use it inside a DAW like Pro Tools, Nuendo, Sonar, Cubase, where you would be able to record yourself... or you could just use it as a Standalone application to simply play.

  • @aitzaz7
    @aitzaz7 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey man i tried to connect my guitar with my laptop using 6.3 to 3.5mm converter but the problem i'm facing is, my laptop dont record my guitar nor any output.i plugged one cable in guitar which connects my laptop n one cable in amp which connects the speakers.but i cant hear anything from my guitar nor on my laptop neither on amp help

  • @ivarthurvi
    @ivarthurvi 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @matias4000 Yeah, I was using the boogex vst to use the guitar hacks impulses. Just recently learned about kefire, so now i can hear it through the plug ins without latency (acid pro 7 is horrible but i'm so used to it i won't get a different daw)

  • @Dreamdancer11
    @Dreamdancer11 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @matias4000 i agree.Revalver is very good but difficult to dial good tones with ease.Guitar rig feels like plastic amplitube is a little better not much and the only ones i found that sound good except st devil are vintage and metal amp room by softube.The best thing for me is to use revalver as a host and combine plugs.Use tubescreamer in front of the amp effects from your daw..other cabinet impulses and you are good to go.Tweaking is good but we are players.We just wanna dial a tone and rock.

    @svenzia I use Cakewalk Sonar 7, you can also use Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, to name a few. I don't know if you can run it on a free host, there must be a free host, I just don't know... anyway, Studio Devil is soon releasing a Standalone Stduio Devil!

  • @AyanTheChosenOne
    @AyanTheChosenOne 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the studio devil plus version that came with my cakewalk sonar home xl edition, and even after buying guitar rig Kontrol edition, I have to say that this plug in totally annihilates it! The tone i got with tube a, some british head and a standard cabinet (cant remember the exact names lol) was absolutely KILLER! :D

  • @LEANDROBOTALON
    @LEANDROBOTALON 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    do you connect your guitar directly to ur pc without any presets?

  • @ReinOwader
    @ReinOwader 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ivarthurvi I think you should try Peavey Revalver MK III.V. As I have heard, it is most authentic to real amps, and metal tones are deep and crystal clear. No muddy tones. But this Studio Devil tool seems pretty interesting also. Thumbs up.

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ivarthurvi and now, for Studio devil, the same thing happens, as with any software. You need to get a great interface, some good cables, you need to mix it, compress it, as you would do with any normal recording. Like anything in the world will give you the sound you want, without tweaking it yourself.

    @LogitechXibanga who said it was free?? there are plenty free amp simulator go and download a free one, Studio Devil is paid, there are people who invested many time developing it so why would I give you a key? Buy it or either look for something that is offered free.

    @AlexCronex heyy man! thanks! i haven't tried 11rack, does it come as vsti or only as rat? I think studio devil is perfect about latency, i work at 96khz and i don't feel any latency at all... for example at 44khz with peavey revalver i feel a very short latency, but with studio devil i just don't.

  • @subdragon007

    What programs are you supposed to use these plugins with? I'm just clueless

  • @iamjiroe
    @iamjiroe  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Whyrendog Glad it helped you! Revalver used to be my nº 1 virtual amp.. till I tried Studio Devil. I mean, Studio Devil sounds nice with almost no tweaking; if i want to get a decent tone in Revalver I have to tweak a lot, spending time; and let's not talk about Guitar Rig (I just don't know why that plugin is so popular, sounds so bad to me, the effects included are the only thing worthy). But anyway, Revalver is a great plugin, I've loved it for a long time, till I found Studio Devil.

    Its sad that no one can get a true intense high gain metal tone, digitally, but they can all the other tones for light rock, blues, and cleaner tones. Line six comes close, but their 'mic emulation' sucks balls. If you can run some of their metal pack through direct, and use guitar hacks impulse for just the cab and nothing else (no gain, nothing) it sounds as close to the real thing as you can get, but you need a powerful PC to run it and be able to monitor it at the same time.
