Wonderful video Oliver thanks…I may say though, that just before (a couple of days before) the earnings report, most stocks trade flat in a “narrow state” and then at the moment the earnings report is made public and circulated…the stock either goes up sharply or moves down sharply…this I believe is a trading opportunity if risk is controlled, and one bar stop losses are put in place…

when you select one stock to trade you are simplifying your trading, you eliminate the entire search process. By using the MA you can use that as confirmation of stock direction. i have always been advised to not hold a position over earnings due to the unknown results.
this video is important for me to learn right now cause i trade micro price stocks, these are stocks that trade at less than 1 cent in price. The thing about Micro price stocks is that they do there earnings around the spring of the year usually in the month of March and its to do there annual report, the numbers put out are important. so all we got to do is buy low before the earnings and then just sell after or just before earnings if the stock gets too high in price. If its still going up after earnings we just sell the other half of our holdings in it, the money goes into other stocks will then hold for most of the year. If you use "the elephant walk trading pattern" then day trading up and downs will be less of a problem, just buy for long term when the stock is severely depressed, and short when it seems like the stock is really over priced. then you will be doing good as a stock trader.

Great video. Very good and clear explanation for us newbies. You said the 20 SMA but when i pull up my chart and input 20 it looks different. However, when i input 10 SMA its the exact same, was that a mistake and did you you actually mean the 10 SMA?
When you say the stock can't move far away from the 20SMA line, that reminds me of how Bollinger Bands work. My question is that is that rule just for AAPL or for other blue chip large cap stocks as well or for all stocks?
