Much like Finnish people, Turkish people also suffered a heavy process of losing many battles in early 20th century. The heaviest one is -in my opinion- the Gallipoli war. We lost over 250k soldiers. And because of constantly losing battles, Ottoman empire started enrolling teenagers and even younger kids to the fronts. So many of the casualties were just kids. and the editor did a great job in the video. In 02:52, we see Berat Efe Parlar, a very young kid. Its like the editor said: 'now imagine this kid joining the war, getting shot and dying'
And also, this is what Atatürk said about the falllen soldiers: "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives... you are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Hello Janne, I would like to recommend two TARKAN movies that I still enjoy watching. Tarkan films were shot in the 1970s and are cult films in Turkey. Two in particular are beautiful: 1- Tarkan: Gümüş Eger It tells about Tarkan, who avenged his father from the King of the Alan, who killed the raider brain of the Turkish Emperor Atilla. 2 - Tarkan: Viking Kanı It tells the struggle of the Viking Queen and Tarkan, who attacked the Hun Empire, the Turkish Empire. Despite the technical impossibilities of that time, the octopus scene is still watched (with some mockery) today. However, when I was a kid it seemed too realistic to me :) Love Janne.

He has an interesting video "Haydar Haydar - Tolgahan Çoğulu & Sinan Ayyıldız" that he plays a simpler version of a micro tonal guitar. Also, you might try to listen "Taksim Trio - Kumsalda Dans", Taksim Trio is a quite underrated band, they are all good musicians.
Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a famous Turkish director. You should watch his movie Climes. It is not the director's most popular movie, but it is my favorite :))
