Fabulous... we missed you in George Town by days... rats... We loved the Bahamas and were saddened when we had to cut everything short from Hatchet Bay and bolt (sail) to Ft Lauderdale due to boarder closings :-( ... Indeed fabulous people in the Bahamas... would have LOVED to spend more time... although we didn't like the sharks in Cape Eleuthera! Sheesh.... so much for snorkelling !!
There's no way I could not say that this was very enjoyable to watch. One of the least important reasons is that it is 35 degrees F outside and it is snow/raining outside 3/4th of the way through April! It's a third of the way through spring and and it feels and looks like winter outside. : - ( Hopefully, those of us in the Finger Lakes Region of NY State will be able to go sailing for the first time this year before May is over. In the mean time it's fun to watch Paul walk, no I'm sorry, sit on the plank of one of those racing sloops! Hopefully, one day I'll be able to visit that area - maybe in a sailboat (my current 20' "pocket yacht" is not "blue water"). Can't wait for your next video! Scott W
Reminds me of my first sailing experience. We were on a lake in North Alabama in a 16 foot boat. We got hit by winds from a collapsed thunderstorm. We were not rigged for that kind of sudden speed. I spent 20 minutes getting as far out on the gunnel as I could get. Scary and fun.

Great primer on Bahamian sloop racing. Curious of these guys’ names. Someone needs to do an extended interview focused on their boatbuilding techniques. I understand they build new boats every couple years, so they’re considered almost expendable.
Wow, I've got to get out on one of those trad Bahamas Sloops with the hiking boards and insane amount of sail area. That's amazing that you had to switch down to a "smaller" sail. It looked huge to me!

Great suggestion Derrick! Weird but I have been working on a, ASMR style project with relaxing shots but haven't had so much luck with the sounds. We tend to get a lot of wind noise :-(
Looks so much fun, I did a similar one in Indonesia 🇮🇩 on bamboo outriggers, each tack changing to the other bamboo stick and fell off a couple times haha, a bit faster too 😄
Today, 23 Apr, Youtubby is really pushing the advertisements hard and heavy. I'm getting two 5 minute ads at the start of every video. Also impossible to skip, the one about exercising your jaw with a rubber donut, so glad I also have a TV to watch. Damn...
