@@UttamKumar-lc7dw I advise you get more experience fencing in competition before going with your natural gate. Taking something from all schools of thought as well.
90° for sure. You want your feet to make a right angle. It is natural for the back foot to drift forward a bit while stepping as we are used to our feet be practically parallel to each other but 90° is what’s best recommended for the back foot in fencing like Aron mentioned towards the beginning of the video
More lessons from the master of saber fencing, please
Aron hopes to see me on the piste? Not in this lifetime buddy.
my boi aron able to flex so hard hes wearing yeezies for fencing XD
We shared some bouts me and him, back in 2005, it was an honour
I would die for that opportunity
The legends are always so modest. ✌🏻 BIG FAN
80% on footwork. Well that’s bad news for my students tomorrow night 😈
@@tatumergo3931 True.

You sound like my fencing coach 😂

You can see where Bruce Lee got his inspiration using fencing footwork. Brilliant!
Yeah , this is the first step of jkd, then boxing+wing chun+taekwondo
I am an MMA fighter and I use fencing footwork
So did Bruce Lee, so you’re in good company.
Emaddy. That’s awesome, I heard fencing has some of the best footwork. I also heard dancing is helpful.

Which angle should the backfoot be to minimize the risk of tearing the meniscus and the cruciate ligament? Is 90 degree better than 45 or 70 or etc.?

Ha úgyis feliratozzák angolul, miért nem hagyják az anyanyelvén beszélni?
Igen am!
Ennyit arról hogy minden fejben dől el, mert a lábmunkán múlik
You told me foot work is important but you double every single time
Lol what? There aren't doubles, Olympic fencing is determined by who touched first.
@@wulfocrow5549 that doesn't justify doubling. Double means you both died
Fry Rice Olympic fencing is not HEMA, its high speed tag, especially foil. Its literally down to milliseconds in Olympic.
@@wulfocrow5549 that's literally the opposite of what foil is.
It's okay foil isnt tag?
Lol okay bub, go to your nearest hema group and ask to spar rapier or smallsword.
