If the burners leave trash it has to be cleaned up by the organizers. That is a strict rule by the BLM. If it's not they won't get a permit for next year. Burning man spends a month after the event cleaning up the desert. Nothing is left

I went backpacking in pacific northwest thru a torrential downpour one time for 4 days. Friend’s cheap tent turned out to leak so we were wet the whole time. Woke up wet in our sleeping bags too. Wet gear heavily weigh down packs so we were carrying double the normal weight at least. Funny thing is our group still laughs about it as a fond event. Its challenges and the shared perseverance like that which make for fond memories.

It's utterly fascinating the amount and quality of hatred that a gathering in the desert provokes. In the wide scheme of things, this event is trivial. How amazingly bent you all get salivating in your hyper critical voyeurism masquerading as a meaningful life full of love. I don't see any love anywhere. Is it under the rock with you?
In March of 1984, a boyfriend and I started a ski trip to the N rim of Grand Canyon. By day 2 the snow reduced to mud and we finished the remaining 90 mile round trip with mud encrusted, 9 lb. boots... fun though!
Hear the other side from actual friends in BM now: "Geezuhs!! Absolutely one of my most favorite places to camp. I go before, or after BM but never during. By far most of the times I go its completely empty. I've seen a few dust trails from other vehicles but have never seen lights on the playa at night. I camp cowboy style laying there looking up into the night sky and being in north western Nevada the only major city is Reno about 100 miles away. If you do go out, and you really should, be prepared with plenty of provisions especially water. A break down could leave you walking 25+ miles to Gerlach which sits right on the western edge of the plays. Let the BLM know you're out there and about when you plan on coming back.
Common sense listening is a wise choice...and a skill that not everyone develops, unfortunately, and has a negative effect on others. The man at the end of the video gives a great example of this.
Most of those stuck in the mud went off road and gambled on their own free will. Others shouldn't risk getting stuck in mud rivers off road to save a few impatient groups who don't care enough to abide by the core BM values.
I find it amusing how some of the stranded concert goers think walking 6 miles to a highway is such an amazing accomplishment. Some of us hike, jog, bicycle this distance regularly. Sorry these $80,000- $150,000+ RV’s are stuck in the mud.
they could not walk, no traction, slick, like concrete, do you realize how heavy their feet would have become ? I jog , bike etc, and I would have been stuck there

Biden: “Look man, I know what it's like to be stranded. One time I was left alone at a press conference podium without even a note card telling me where to go next. Not a joke.”
So many RV's and everything, they're basically at a huge campout. Just needed to wait out the rain and mud. Future years will probably tell people to have some rain and mud gear just in case. Or just stage some big mud ready trucks at nearby towns to drive in supplies. I think some Jeep and Bronco owners would love nothing more than an excuse to test their heavy duty off road rigs.
Burning Man has worn out its welcome. They need to find another home. See the Reno Gazette Journal for photos and details of the aftermath-shoes, toilet paper rolls, plastic bags, and garbage strewn everywhere on the playa. Split trash bags dumped on the highway for TWO MILES. Last year, Burning Man barely passed BLM inspection. Eight out of 10 random campsites failed. The excuse then-there are always excuses-was the heat and a dust storm. This year’s inspection has been delayed. People live here. This is Indian country, Paiute country. From Gerlach to Nixon to Pyramid and beyond, burners trash our land, demanding conveniences that we can’t give them. This year the organizers reminded participants to show respect when entering Pyramid Lake reservation, a warning which largely went unheeded. Kudos to Australian first-time burner Keira Howard, who stayed behind to unearth and collect trash. Why couldn’t another 10% of you do that? The hypocrisy of the burners and their 10 principles is stunning. Leave no trace behind? Self-reliance? Communal effort and civic responsibility? Again, look at the RGJ’s photos. If, by some miracle (and a lot of work by government entities, locals, and maybe BM), this year’s event passes inspection, please don’t come back. You’ve had 25 years to clean up your act and you’ve shown you’re unwilling to do it.
It's not Burning Man you don't like, it's having a city in your backyard. Cities are rough and crime comes with them. The people trashing the environment or utterly disregarding the 10 Principles are NOT burners, just criminals and predators like you find in any city. Radical Inclusion is my least favorite principle because there could be standards to whom you let in the door. You're probably used to a quiet, safe, rural lifestyle, so it's understandable that you are distressed by more urban behaviors in your area, but it's not hypocrisy on the part of the Burning Man community. We are a victim of these violations of our ethos as well. But you don't tear down a beautiful city because it attracts criminals. For actual burners, the Black Rock Desert is our home too, in a way you may not understand, and we wish to protect it just as you do.
Trapped for days Typically rich people that have know idea how to actually use their RVs. I used my 50$k trailer for a camp out in the desert.
For so many people to go there. I bet everything was legal.
I'm nothing more happened there than is happening in your own hometown. Have you been outside lately?
@@westsparks6844 around your block. That’s all
“I was just waiting for the looting honestly it would have been awesome” what a pos
You clearly don't understand sarcasm
No looting cuz you're not there 😊.
Burning Man is such a meme
That's suck. I figured this would have been about make shift muddy man but nah it's just sad and disappoinment.
Nick Watt your on top of your game, Watt is happening beside you--

Typically rich people that have know idea how to actually use their RVs.
I used my 50$k trailer for a camp out in the desert. The FLAT desert and It started having water come from the sky and I just did not know what to do so I gave up and posted that I was stuck all over social media and found other rich people were have same problems as I was! They told me to "wait it out". Idk what that means but then again I am a rich moron that has never used my camper.
Sounds kinda evil what brings so much people together.

Bombshell...Trump raised a whopping $20 million in August alone, including $9.4 million in the week since Fulton County released his mug shot
I just want to see Trump dish out pardons against the foolish dirty governments.
Piss on them welfare recipient rug pulling bastards.
Too bad he’s already burned through nearly $100M since the beginning of the summer and is beyond cash-strained, due to legal fees for his 4 indictments 🤦♂️

Haven't you heard: that Traitor is TOAST
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
Your Father unfortunately did that and here you are 😬
It's true though in this instance. You don't need to travel multiple states and spend tens of thousands of dollars to actually go to a real party if that's what you're after. It's the same thing like you don't need a Gym membership or home gym even to workout and be extremely fit. You don't need to go buy a $500 dollar ticket to this, when you yourself(ves) are the party.
And you also don’t need to NOT do those things, just because someone else doesn’t see the value in them.
Hey CNN, is Joey 19 Bribes on Vacation?

Do I sense the presence of a truly loyal follower of the racist sex offender who somehow managed to bankrupt a casino and stole military secrets? I wonder if it's true that he is obsessed with toilets and flushes ten, fifteen times.

What were those green brown and black spheres they dumped at this festival? I saw them dumping spheres into the water or garbage disposal. Aren't we supposed to tell the truth if we see something? How is anything going to be fixed if everyone is lying?
Trip killers, bro. Google it. You'll be okay.

Final destination when God works with God's schedule not mans. God see the infinite we see the finite. God's plan is far better than any man could possibly think up. God sees everything. They know better or they wouldn't be hiding everything. The more you try to hide the more God sees you. To be in God's image you must be godlike. God didn't create man to lie cheat steal invade disobey the ten commandments sacrifice. God created everyone and everything to obey the ten commandments and keep everything as sacred or it will removed. As Jesus wrote if they do it again IT IS FINISHED. God's house God's rules. Those of us that see are watching a train wreck in slow motion. Wake up Babylon because Moloch of whom you prayed to owns you. God please anoint this comment as we anoint you in service and reverence and obedience to the ten commandments as commanded. Us that obey the ten commandments are not going to suffer because of the unholy. Destroying God's creation without permission. It's not your vessel it's God's vessel God's creation not mans. This is why eve the deceiver and her children were kicked out. If you don't want God you can't have anything God created. Universal law.
