Simple Things 1975 It was amazing. It is meant for the big screen! It looks to me like we could get a few more sequels... The Dowagers quips were hilarious, and Edith’s story was great. When it ended, and we went to the car, I told my husband I wanted to go back in for the 10:00 show!
The movie was definitely worth the wait. I won’t give anything away, but I highly recommend going. If you have never watched the show, you may not understand some parts or be able to keep up. Do a binge watch and catch up.
Allen Leech doesn't have as key a role on the TV series, but he plays my favourite character. His character (Tom Branson) has a natural gentle Irish charm but head strong beliefs in the Irish Republicanism that enables him to "hang" with Brit nobility but remain true to himself and maintain respect from the nobles - he is the one able to move from downstairs to upstairs and maintain a respected position in both. If you need a genuine balanced perspective of priorities, etc - Tom is the man! I just wish his wife in the show had been around longer... she was a delight!
Such a credit to Allen Leech that his character is so beloved that though his storyline usually had to be worked in as a subplot, he continued as an essential part of the series.
Wrong time period and the stereotype is widely inaccurate. Statistically British people have better teeth than Americans, thanks to our free health care which covers most dental practices 😁
I’m British and traveled all around the world and believe me when I say that, the worst teeth I’ve seen was in the USA. I went to some towns in Arizona and Nevada where not one person had any teeth.
@@ellieh9498 there is a charge to dental care on the NHS - sure, it's probably cheaper than in America, but it's not entirely free for a lot of people.
I was obsessed with the TV Series and Maggie Smith can't wait to see the movie. They should do another season as well.
