Salucci are us right now. Look around the world and see, us. It is sad, but the voices of reason heard amid the hatred lend one hope. It is leveling to realize that as we rise above our flaws, we keep teetering on the edge to fall and rise once more. Repercussions is beautiful expression of our hopes and fears.
To the Salucci leadership: If the Federation wanted you dead, you would be dead. If they wanted you enslaved, you would be enslaved. If they wanted your resources, they would have them. You are fortunate your pilot didn't pull this stunt on a Klingon, Orion or Romulan ship. Your 2nd minister would never have returned to you and you would have a fleet in orbit issuing demands under threat of orbital bombardment.

It's stories like these that show everything does not have to revolve around Kirk or Picard and the Klingons
Ms. White as the captain has a very commanding stage presence. Her lines are said with conviction and you can feel the pain and empathy she is portraying in each and every scene. That being said the rest of the crew seems to take a cue from her and did an excellent job as well. At about the 4 minute mark when the crewman offers a bottle of Scotch that could have very well been a line that came right from Scotty himself. All in all a very compelling episode with an excellent two story arc. Please forget the naysayers, the negativity and the haters who would come in to condemn or to criticize. Once again I say thank you for this wonderful addition to the Star Trek universe.
Her line about wanting to know if anyone else wants to destroy her ship was pretty much pitch perfect. Privette's had enough with the past day's events and throwing some shade to blow off steam. It was something somebody might say in real life PLUS it made me laugh.
Kimberly does a good job with her lines and the way she uses her eyes to express emotion...dynamite.
You are correct it was a very enjoyable episode. It is amazing to me the quality of the acting writing and production these fan-based episodes have. I look forward to seeing more of Captain Privette and her wonderful crew. Thank you again for everything you do to enhance the Star Trek universe for us your fans
There will always be haters who have no idea what goes into a production of this length and depth, particularly without a budget. Of course it takes a bit to get used to the characters and the acting but it greatly pays for a little effort.
Excellent juxtaposition that reflects future politics current American politics while still maintaining a common dialogue. Props!
Leaving aside the fact that this is a fan production with no budget, the uniforms make more sense than you think. Consider aircraft carriers - colored shirts, rather than what civilians think of as uniforms are worn during flight operations. A sailor this might have several kinds of uniforms depending on what the days operations called for. These guys are doing a great job bringing free content. If there is something that seems off or might be improved, by all means let them know, but chances are that they already know and are working to improve the show.
They added extra colors so it actually makes more sense now. No longer do doctors and geologists or security and engineers wear the same color.

Fyi: Sound quality, while usually great in your shorts, is very 'echoey'. Don't know if it can be cleaned up, but you might want to take a listen and decide yourself.
I'll check with Rick. He was trying to match the sound with the first part of the story which was filmed under less than ideal situation. We ended up reshooting, and even using phones for footage. We may have over adjusted, but it may be the best we can do with this story. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
@@Potemkin1711 my personal opinion would be to 'take the hit' at the beginning, then allow the quality to improve as movie progresses. Some scenes are so distorted as to make the dialogue nearly impossible to understand at all volumes.
@@andytay5507 Hey, sorry it took a few days to get back with you. Right now, Potemkin Pictures is in the process of relocating to Lexington KY for my wife's work, and I've spent the past three days dismantling the sets so that we can salvage as much as we can and still make the move to Lexington .
I've given the sound issue some thought, and I wish we had a solution for you. The echoey nature of the audio is from the shoot having taken place in the mostly empty green screen room.
When we get our new studio set up, I will look at re-recording the dialogue with Privette and Tolias and see about replacing it.

That star date shown on the monitor near the end, 2375, that's about the time of Insurrection?
Nah, that's not a stardate as far as I know. The year is 2302 or so. The star dates we're using at this time are all 00nnn.n.
No, that's just an LCARS file number. Numbers seen on Star Trek computer screens and other readouts are usually random and meaningless unless the production team sneaks in an in-joke or reference, and in this case it may be a complete coincidence that the number on Privette's desktop monitor matches the year in which a movie takes place.

When you think back to the first t.v. broadcasts these fan productions make them seem amateurish.
