    the Z lock, the way it looks to me is essentially an Inside Ashi Garami which goes further in terms of control when you hide both your feet deep under the other guy's secondary (far) leg while holding the said leg at the same time. You can make it a resting position as well until such time you decide to attack the reaped (inside) leg to finish it off.

    He could give it to me standing, top, bottom. I could make an excellent power bottom. Told I'm built for speed and power, just not so much comfort. Haven't tried it yet but it's my birthday soon!

      You control both legs, but you only attack one leg, you attack the knee of the leg that you lift up (the one he brings to his uke’s shoulder).
