FJ40 V8 5.7L versus a inline 6 3.9L 1F engine.
The V8 has 40" tires and the i6 has 33s... then we put on 35s. What a difference wheels can make!
Both FJs have a SOA (Springs over axle) suspension set up for 4-6" of lift. The 40" wheels
add another 3.5 of lift, plus body lift. The V8 FJ has a total of 12" of lift compared to an OEM FJ40. - กีฬา
The only thing when you go with bigger tires you put more stress on your drivetrain and could damage broomfield's I'm a fan of the 33 inch BFGoodrich I have friends that have 35 or bigger they're always breaking stuff nice trucks👍

There are a few fuel injection conversion kits for the i6. Also the main limiter on speed on the i6 is not the engine it's the trans gearing. If it had an overdrive you could get up to freeway speeds.

The engine in the red 74 fj is from the mid 60's. Maybe a 65 ish.
True, Toyota ran the F155 engine for a decade before the F2 engine.

What type of fuel injection is the green one running? I only ask because I have just bought a 73 and already have a vortec 350 I would like to use , I noticed you were running the same engine
Yes same engine.
Newer injectors, don't know what tho, engine work completed before I became owner.
What gearing is in the red fj ?
Red is 3 speed.
