When you were done with the purple and wanted to know if it could scan, you could have taken a photo, mirror it on a computer, then try to scan it. Shoulda coulda woulda, it worked and that's all that matters. Even if there's an ad shoved in between by the URL-shortening QR generator.
Also, it's totally scannable during the projection shot.
