  • Today I'm so excited to expand my Mini Gouache Painting series with these two easy Spring Sunset paintings with leaves and pastel colors. These paintings use almost the same colors, so you can easily achieve them in one painting session, or just choose the one that speaks to you more. ^^
    If you decide to paint either one of these mini gouache paintings, let me know how it went for you! ^^ I really hope you'll get to sit down and have a relaxing painting session for yourself ❤

    Just got some gouache paints to try to get back into painting since water colors and oil were my favorites when I had more time for art and these look like they will be perfect tutorials to play around with the medium ❤️

    I'm new to gouache, do you use water at all?

    • @JournalAway
      @JournalAway  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes! I always use water with the paints, but usually as little as possible. Gouache is like thick watercolor paint, so it requires some water to work properly. :)

    I have a Queation!! How do you stop the dried gouache painting from transferring colors onto your other pictures when your journal is closed? I love your tutorials, I’ve followed a few of them and have loved how my paintings came out. Now that I’m making a painting journal, I’ve noticed some
    Of my paintings are transferring pigments onto the picture opposite them in the journal!

      Let them dry completely. If you want to test to see whether the painting is still wet, use a flashlight and observe; if there is any sheen to the painting, that means it's still wet and will transfer. Remember, gouache always dries matte. Hope this helps!
