    I don't call them samples. I call them promotional materials. :) I order t-shirts with my favorite designs and wear them when I am out to promote. I love getting compliments on my designs in person and I start a conversation with the person which often results in sharing where they can get a shirt for themselves. :D - Heidi

      Thanks for the comment! I recommend looking into the "passive" print on demand websites instead of Shopify, which is an "active" site. Shopify won't bring you any traffic, whereas the passive sites will bring their own buyers to your designs. Hi Greg, I’ve been following you for a few months now and love your content. I’m thinking about starting POD soon. My main question is, how do you come up with a store name, do you print that name on all your shirts? Example: “clothing co.”
    Does the name matter? Would you trade mark it?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks and great question. The name is really up to you and it does not get put on the shirts. I recommend making sure the name you choose is not trademarked, but you do not need to trademark your name. I’d look around at other store names to get an idea of ones you like and come up with your own. Hope that makes sense and helps!

In addition, Redbubble also gives an option for ACH direct bank deposit, (instead of paypal)- and for this option- is an account on Payoneer good for that? • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Benn, great question. My initial reaction is to advise uploading the designs you have to the couple big passive sites. I think you'll get traction that way without having to dig into the marketing issue. I've been down both paths, even with paid ads, and definitely prefer the passive route for a whole handful of reasons. If you do want to push down the active path some more before switching I would suggest starting a brand page on Instagram and posting shirt mockups, educational posts, entertainment posts or quotes, and anything else your niche would really like on social media. Then have your store link in the bio. I've done this on IG, FB, and Pinterest, and the best results came from IG. I hope that helps!

      @roddc7740 - I would think the answer is yes if you're going to use the logo on every shirt you sell. If it's just a "store logo" that only appears say, on your Etsy shop, then I doubt it would really matter. But TM's are expensive...about $1500.00+/- if you try to do it all yourself, but much more if you use a lawyer, for each TM.

    Hello sir.. I have my own pod store which I'm going to launch soon also I've created accounts in passive sites like redbubble and teepublic but I'm not good at using Photoshop because I'm disabled and Photoshop is very tough for me because I can use only my left hand... And also canva has copyright issues I've heard from some creators.. so I've PlaceIt and kittle accounts Can I use their elements editing them for the commercial purpose?

      Just adjust it, don't just change the color. Learn some design theory. Its not about the tools, its about the concept you are putting in.

    If im not a designer what do you suggest to do?

    • @GregGottfried

      Welcome to the community! No worries I along with many others have done print on demand without graphic design experience. Tshirt design tools are the key. I recommend Placeit because everything on their site is copyright-free. I’ve got how to style videos on the channel for designing with Placeit and a coupon code for them that I try to put in the description of every video. I hope that’s helpful!

      The sites are non-exclusive so we can upload the same designs to multiple sites without any issues 👍🏼

    Hey Greg how do you feel about AI designs? Have you used it yourself?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Great question. I’m not a fan of AI art (designs with graphics in them) because there have been reports of copyright infringement starting to pop up. If it were text based that would be something I’d use though. Hope that helps!

    Is there any point in me making my own Shopify store rather the just having passive POD

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. I don’t see any added benefit to it unless you have an audience already or you’re going to run ads to send people to it. Otherwise it will just be a website sitting there without any traffic sources going to it.

      Nice work! 100% normal. It usually takes about a month to see sales starting. Here's a video looking at the average time to first sale from 50 new sellers: th-cam.com/video/BRdK2GGOxnA/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps to give you more peace of mind! Great work so far by the way 🙌

    I made a few sales on redbubble but they ended up banning my account without an explanation. Can make a new account?

    • @GregGottfried
      @GregGottfried  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn't worry about it just yet. Redbubble has been trying to battle AI generated designs flooding their marketplace so their automated system had been banning a lot of new accounts. The good news is that even they claim that their system gets it wrong sometimes. You can shoot them an email at support@redbubble.com and ask for a review of your account because you believe it was suspended by mistake. They say you can't make a new account, so I'd try to get in touch with them to reinstate your existing one. Hope that helps!
