The GOAT album y'all!!! I was in my teens (16 or 17 ish) and had got this album and just got a car. I would roll down the windows and ride by everything and everyone and with The Preacher blasting full volume!!!! Hahahaha Those were the days! I was heavily into Metallica but Testament just hit a little different and I just loved them from the get go. They are also amazing live! Long live Testament!!!!

Brings back memories of highschool. Listening to this album on my walkman at night as i lay in bed. All these tunes.... their crafting and textures would turn on my imagination. Testament will always be a part of "my music".

I brought this album on its release date. After school I went to the wiz (R.I.P.) and brought the cassette and it was on repeat for days. Still have the cassette 36 years later. Atlantic records released it.
The first technical thrash album I ever heard. Bassist brought it to practice one day and it's been one of my favorite albums ever since. \m/ 3:) \m/
Hell yeah! Nuclear Assault(Survive) and Dark Angel(Darkness Descends) are good examples of that🤟

Easily a top four or five thrash album all time. I put it right there with reign in blood, peace sells, master of puppets and that ilk.
In 1988 i listened to it all night because this album IS so magnificent.it reveals all the talent of this group .

I remember seeing Testament live with Megadeth and I think Priest. I went for Megadeth, and was awed by these guys. Great show.

I saw the album in a record store in Metro Center Mall in Phoenix back in 1988 (I was 14). That album cover art scared me and I thought "I gotta own this!"!! My first Testament album and still one of the best!
I started playing guitar as a senior in highschool, one year before this was released. Eric and Alex have influenced my playing more than anybody. When people ask me who my favorite guitar player is...my reply is Testament!
My recorded version of Musical Death will be played at my funeral!

Top 5 album all-time for me. I can still remember seeing "Trial By Fire" on Headbanger's Ball and buying this cassette the next day. Just absolutely fell in love with it. Still love Testament to this day (& saw them play live last year in Osaka).

I Love how the drums sound, they are not thin and you can hear them really good. That is the only reason I am not a Practice What You Preach fan. They sound thunderous, the base drums and bass guitar are well balanced and clear. They sound the sane way The Legacy. I love TESTAMENT!!!!!!!!!
