The attention to detail, the production quality and the actual concepts of the save are all incredible, but the fact that the time where other content would have run of the mill match commentary is used to tell stories that add context and depth to the save is just a joy.

The two most prominent are being on a school trip in Germany when the tournament was on, and not being allowed to buy the official ball because I had no space for it in my bags, and my desire for United to sign Carvalho that summer, and the ultimate disappointment when he went to Chelsea!

Sadly, nowhere near any of the games, but my most prominent memory of that tournament was watching England's win over Colombia in the dorms with schoolmates. Also, understandable on Carvalho. Cracking player. Controversial perhaps, but I always felt that without him there, John Terry would have been half the player he became. Shame he couldn't have the same affect on Terry's personality.

You scored more goals from corners in one game than I have done in one an a half seasons. I think I have scored one in total with Chelsea in that time.
We've got a really nice balance. Our best aerial threat is a decoy, who lingers at the near post, whilst corners are either taken short or sent towards the secondary aerial threat at the far post. 15 goals so far this season. Add 8 penalties and that's almost a third of our goals from set pieces. Ironically, that means I might change things next season. I try and avoid overpowered set piece routines. It appeared that near post corners were, once again, the OP strategy for FM24, which is why I chose to send them to the far post (or short).
@@mustermannfm I also tend to avoid everything that could be overpowering. That is why I hardly never read anything related to the feedback that the game is getting. Also in terms of tactics I only read those topics that are related to emulating some specific style of plays of real-life teams and managers.
@@sirtbambson the difficulty is working out whether something is overpowered or not. For example, I had a look at the set pieces scattergraph in the Data Hub, and whilst we have the most xA from set pieces, we also have the most crosses from set pieces, too. I can't truly be certain whether this is a good routine, or we're just getting a lot of corners!

In terms of making changes, you can edit match/touchline tablet panel.xml for the contents, or match/in between highlights panel.xml for the dimensions.

What are the chances ha ha, I grew up in Chiswell green but went to school in fleetville, used to drink in the Mermaid too though I’d have been 14 in 2004, so I was working my way up to it at that stage, think 16 was about the age where you could try and blag your way into most pubs in town, good times. I’ve actually had a save with St Albans going but just parked it (after getting them into league 2) once I discovered your channel - just started a new safe with your skin as a mid table Turkish side - all the Hellenic and Greek referenced in the PAOK save had me craving some of that Mediterranean/former Byzantine style FM goodness. Either that or it made me want to fire up Imperator Rome again lol. Just got to figure out how I’m going to handle transfers as I’m enticed by the data export video etc but as you’ve mentioned in the videos you’re relying on scouts and DoF suggestions - never played attributeless and I’ve been playing the game since 07 so there’s always time to try something new. I quite like it at the moment because I don’t feel like I’ve been able to ‘min/max’ my starting line up - basing my decisions off the imperfect assessment to begin the season. Do you use any particular squad views or is most of your player analysis done on a player by player basis from their profile screens? Also, tell me about it with the prices! I finally had enough and moved a little outwards into (say it quietly) _bedfordshire_ but I still feel like St Albans will be home I guess.

Because when I said I moved further afield, I am also now in Bedfordshire 😂 In terms of analysis players, I tend to use the Scouted Players screen and the filters there, and then go through each player one by one. A combination of players not being interested, players being too expensive, etc... means that it's usually not too many players per position to go through.

You were right to not reward Ekong for the afcon considering how unprofessional he was in real life. He played the whole tournament injured and it became so bad that he will miss the rest of the season. This and our other injuries means we had and have to play Conference with only 2 actual center backs. Not to mention we bought him last summer as our starting defender. We are lucky Kedziora became a fantastic center back and saved our season.(He was terrible as a right back though)
I get it. All fans prefer their players to prioritise club over country - but if you were Troost-Ekong, of course you want to play in AFCON even if injured. But yes, he is terrible. I lived in Watford for a long while. Though I don't support them, I know how bad he was for them!!

The least he had to do was to inform the team so we could look for a defender in the winter transfers. He was insisting he is fine and not injured at all untill he came back and the truth was revealed
@@AzureusGR sometimes we aren't the greatest judge of our own capacity. Whether that is physical, mental, time, etc... They say "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity". He might've generally believed he was fine.
