tyler adame Im over it. Thats what happens when teams underestimate the underdog ... I have nothing but nice things to say about Kansas State. They showed up and played all 4 quarters. Teams like that deserve to win.
Kansas improving only makes the conference better!! If we would have beaten Coastal Carolina, UVW and Texas which all games we were in we would be 6-2. Good lord just thinking about it is crazy.
Where are you John Barkley?!!!! KU won on a last second field goal after erasing a Texas Tech 17-0 lead . KU led Top-25 Texas 48 to 47 with only seconds to go in that game last weekend down in Austin and only lost on a last second field goal! Texas was lucky to win that game. Where are you with your wise-acre comments about how bad you think KU is? Where are you John?!!! We're waiting...
Also if you look at the Texas KU game on the last drive the clock should’ve started 4 seconds before it did after a first down and 2 3 seconds on another time so they got 7 seconds and they spiked the ball with 8 seconds to run another play because they were at his max range and they got 9 yards on that play sooo Texas got 7 seconds and 9 free yards in the final drive so KU might’ve beaten Texas if the refs did their jobs correctly
John Something roster issues were from Weis, not Beaty. That’s why we can actually compete this year. Beaty just didn’t know how to coach. Beaty had nothing to sell and still got guys like pooka to come here.
John Something most of that is accurate. I would say Beaty was fine with roster buildup until he thought he only had 1 year left and went JUCO crazy, but he probably should have done what Miles is doing this year and recruited only freshmen. I think that he might not have been able to do that after going 0-12, 2-10, and 1-11 his first three years. Hard to recruit anyone in general with those records. After the 1-11 year that’s where he went all out on JUCO (except a few guys) but at the same time you and I probably would do the same thing if we were trying to keep our jobs.
John Something I knew Les would have success here because he’s done it before at two other schools. Weis was a coach that a lot of people tried to do a comparison to, but his only place as a college football head coach before KU was ND where he failed. His first two seasons were good, but you can’t look at the first two years and determine how good a coach will be in the long term. Miles had proven success at LSU where he had at least 8 wins every year. Weis only had three wins in his third year at ND. Glad we got Les and Dearmon. Our offense is looking really good. Now we just need help defensively and with special teams.
We we were close many times this year we are still learning how to win games in 2020 I am pretty excited even though our schedule is a little harder but will be better but I predict 4 to 5 wins for next year since we won 3 games this year many people predicted less than that in 2019 and we got more
The game that bothers me the most in the coastal Carolina game because we really should have won that but we didn't because we played horrible on offense but our team has improved from that it looked like we were going 1-11
I was at this game and when I saw that kick get blocked, I was like, "Well, there goes our chance to beating a Big 12 game this year... wait, did he pitch it, did KU recover, and instead of 13 seconds left on the clock it's just one second now." I was on the side of the stadium, so I waited for the reactions from the field goal club.
785Toodie662 watch the replay slowly. It was an intended lateral. The ball was out before the KU player got to him. He was also looking back as the ball was coming out. You don’t just randomly look backwards like that unless your looking to lateral it.
KU learning how to win. Receivers are hella fast and Stanley has a good arm. B12 is competitive top to bottom for the first time ever. Anyone can beat anyone.
Congrats Kansas fans:) I'm really happy to see that your team is going on the right direction with coach Les Miles:). I'm a huge Penn State fan but if I had to choose a team from the big 12 it would be Kansas:) once again congrats guys:)
Yeah thank you it's a good win but we still have a long way to go hopefully soon wins like these won't be this surprising to us anymore hopefully but we gotta a lot of work to do but I am not embrassassed or Ashamed of my team I am really proud of them I mean we competited in few games this year if we could figure out how to win some of them we could have a really decent year for our standards I would say in a few years like 2022 we be able to get to our blow game
When I saw that blocked field goal in person with 13 seconds and then the fumble it looked like he tried to lateral it to the ref who he probably thought was a Texas tech player. Multiple people told me that it wasn’t a lateral and that it was just a fumble but after watching this replay it clearly was an intended lateral. If you stop and start the video as fast as you can, you will see the ball is out of his hands before KU’s player gets to him. It’s stuff like this that make me question people’s intelligence.
Someone else pointed this out to me. Watch closely before the Tech player pitches the ball. You can see a Jayhawk player (I think #76) reach out and grab the Tech player's arm. That may have had an effect on the lateral.
Ok, this is maybe the worst defensive play i have ever seen in my life: 3 DBs are standing around and let the WR run free and score a TD. Wait, what? 1:26
Thanks for the respect. Most people don’t know how to properly analyze teams. Is KU better than their performance against CC? Yes. Are they worse than their performance against BC? Yes. We aren’t the worst team in the big 12 and we aren’t the best, but if a person was knowledgeable about KU football they would know that our offense is pretty good. It’s obvious that the reason is Dearmon. Do people honestly think Stanley improved that much his last year at KU. The reason he looks pretty good this year is because we have a coach who knows how to call a game as our OC now. Coaching is so important and seems to always be overlooked by the casual fan. Every season is a different team. This KU team is the best since Mangino’s last season (5-7 in 2009).
112785jam yeah defense isn’t good. Dearmon has been the OC for two games and we put up 48 against Texas (most of any team this year) and 37 against Texas tech (2nd most of any team this year). While I’m on it, Tech’s D is not that bad. I get tired of people acting like their D is not even in the top 100. It’s not top 10, but it’s good enough for them to go 6-6 if the offense and special teams were at the same levels.
John Something That was definitely a lateral. For one the ball was out before the KU player got to him. Second, the Texas tech player was looking backwards towards the ref. You don’t look backwards unless you are intending to lateral it.
Gordon Goodman So he looked backward for no reason? That doesn’t make sense. I would be careful of just saying something when video evidence shows otherwise. Hopefully you aren’t a ref.
I’m a Red Raider and this is so difficult 😂. Coming into this game I was pretty worried. This isn’t your grandpas Kansas anymore. They are still probably the worst team in the big12 but they are in the same league now. They will no longer be a total give me putt in the Miles era.
Who tf was he even pitching it to? Bros gonna get chewed out you cant make those mistakes. Past 2 games for tech have been on game deciding plays. One a blown call but this is inexcusable man just fall down go to OT
785Toodie662 First off, there’s really no need for an attitude. It really shows me that your not very mature, but hey, I guess that’s your choice. Second off, this is a replay. This means you can slow it down to see what actually happened. You don’t always see everything when it’s live action going full speed. The fact that you’re still denying that it was an intended lateral shows me that you’re just arguing to be right which shows immaturity also.
What are you talking about? Best I've seen the big 12 in years..Another year or so KU and KState gonna be the top teams in the conference.. Especially when Lincoln Riley goes to the NFL.
South Carolina beats Georgia. Wow the SEC is tough. Big12 underdogs win today. Big 12 is crap. Can't have it both ways. Big 12 has one the best non-conference records in Bowl games and this year so far.
How sad is it when your a team as weak as actually, both of the Big 12 door mat teams (door mat = easy W) that the lesser of the 2 teams (easily KU by far) celebrates like they just won a national title game against an Elite team.... Lmfao... When in reality it's like 2 junior high teams neither had any defence so the scores made them think they were doing great... Lmfao... Both are door mat teams in the Big 12... Why did anyone even take the time to do a video on these 2, especially with KU in it... Is it part of the no child left behind thing 😂
Y did he pitch dat like he wuz scared 😱 scared. Poor Texas tech just can’t seem too find a gud team nd Coach. Hell let me have a shot at coaching. Bring n sum yfl plays nd see how it goes. Mayb da same😂😂😂😂
that win was about as generic as their orange bowl season. ..and what I mean by generic is they didn't play Oklahoma or Texas or Bill Snyder and didn't even win the north ..the only reason the orange bowl pick ku was because they couldn't take a 2 loss team in Missouri who kicked KUs azz
That 2007 season started with App. State beating 3rd ranked Michigan in "The Big House." The second week had two top 25 upsets, week 3 had 3, week 4 had 4, week 5 had 8, teams like USF who had never been ranked got all the way up to number 2 in the polls at one point before losing to unranked Rutgers. USC was ranked at number 1 lost to a Stanford team that was 1-3 (and the year prior had gone 1-11) at home (the first time that happened in like 31 games) to Stanford's back up QB. Cal got up to number 2 in the rankings at 5-0. Ended the season 6-6. Number 1 Ohio State lost to unranked Illinois at home. A Les Miles coached LSU (the eventual National Champion) was in the National Championship game with two loses. One of those loses was to unranked Arkansas in triple OT. Kansas was the ONLY team that year to end their season 12-1. There was nothing "generic" about that season. Or that Kansas team, who won the Orange Bowl against a very good Virginia Tech team that was ranked 3rd at the time. And as far as not winning their division or not getting to their Conference Title game. Alabama didn't play in their Conference title game a couple of years back, but they still got into the Playoff and won the National Championship. The Texas Tech player making a mistake did cost them the game, but Kansas had to be in position to win it. They came back from being 17 points down to an FBS team from a Power 5 conference. No easy feat for any team. KU's 2007-2008 was impressive and so was this win.
