Bro these reviews are killing it! Especially with the builds and 0 to 60s. This mk7 r is the perfect example of modern day tech with the 0 to 60 times when you put it up against a 955 bhp r33 gtr, but having said that the r33 is an old car but still performs amazingly. A lot of older cars would struggle to get near those 0 to 60 times too... should try solo 0 to 60s...
500 HP Golf does most of the time on dry roads, a 3 second 0 to 100, so this beasts got to be close to a 2.8 ! Just watching it take of from the outside take of looks brutally quick.

This is proper set up this one, I love how well he knows the full mod list without questioning his own memory and no expense spared for sure. Big respect for upgrading the brakes more than enough you see too many people cutting corners with tires or stopping power when they're essential in these high power builds. Arthur's Golf R had a V5 turbo on it too I think, or at least it did the last time Calvin was selling it

@@robertwarren1245 ? I think you misunderstood what I'm saying. We say a car is properly set up when it's been extensively modified across several areas to a high standard like something that has been properly built for fast road or track, he does a lot of the work himself that makes it even better

The VW Golf R 7/7.5 will be looked back in years to come as the greatest affordable hot-hatch money can buy. With it being a 2.0L and the saftey features and lowish tax bracket it means that Gassed Gang can realistically taste what the future legend has to offer. Solid car beastly capability!. So happy i just bought a new one last month. Yeah it's a lease but i'll buy it outright seeing as its a pure respected hot-hatch.

That is absolutely amazing, I mean VW has definitely stepped up their game, I raced a blue Golf-R that was pushing about 800 and the launch on that thing was insane like that of an R8. I mean it’s definitely a different VW from 10 years ago considering how much power you can get out of the stock block. Props and respect to VW.

is the Golf R basically the same internal/engine setup as the Scirocco R? If so, I need help cuz not a lot of Scirocco R videos out there. I've got APR Stage 2+ tuned but I'm running really RICH (-17 to -21) and not sure why. I also have loss of acceleration power in low RPMS, yet boost is hitting 0.5 to 1 bar...is it an overboost issue? Something with the wastegate? Or is it a boost leak? Carbon build up? Bad PCV? DV? IAC? Leaky fuel injector? damn so many possibilities

How effortlessly the newer gen Golf R put down big power blows me away every time. "In my day" you couldn't dream of wanting to spend 3.5 hrs behind the wheel of 2.0 making 600bhp. Not without a flatbed on speed dial.
