    Year: 2016

Here's a new song called "The Riverlands".
The idea for this one was to create a piece that would describe a fantasy land, The Riverlands, which would exist in a set like "Game of Thrones" or "The Lord of the Rings" kind of set. A medieval-ish age surrounded by dark times but still with a little, vague light of hope.
Anyways, I'll leave it to your imagination as always.
    Hope you guys enjoy! :)

+BrunuhVille Hey Bud! been following your music for a while and i was just wondering with the following question:
I am prototyping a series called Lazarus, it has a dark but modern setting in which heaven & hell are conflicting on earth, would you be OK with me sampling or using your music in the series? Of course you and your masterfull creations would be mentioned, that is only fair.

Bran Stark : "Family, Duty, Honor". Is that the right order?
Maester Luwin : You know it is.
Bran Stark : Family comes first.

It's true, I've been trying to study some music production stuff to make my music sound better . It sounds way better now than it sounded 2 years ago but I still have a lot to go until it sounds more or less professional.
      Thank you, Antti!

You can hear less professional music in most triple A games. I'm sure that in two years your sound will again be a lot better. I can hardly listen to anything I made half a year ago...

+BrunuhVille hi! I have recently discovered you incredible music and account here on youtube! I am planning to start making speedpaints of my art processes on my art account and would love to use some of your music. I have read your document explaining giving credit ect and looked at the rumblefish website. So to clarify if your music is used and given credit you get money for it being used when found by rumblefish or cdbaby? and it does not affect me in any way? Sorry to pester you with this question but I want to make sure I don't look like an art theif as being a fellow creator I know how upsetting theft is of your hard work
      keep up the amazing works!

I can't help but feel that this fits a novel that a friend and I are currently in the process of writing. It's a story set in a medieval land with a king, several knights and others, betrayal, treason, death, madness, and the potentiality of war for the main kingdom. This song really fits the main 6 characters and their struggles.
;w; Thank you so much for all of your tremendous music! I hope someday I can compose as well as you!

The army marched solemnly through the desolate Riverlands, white-capped mountains in the distance. War drums sounded ominously, and the only movement was the army and some scrawny crows alighting atop ragged red banners. A steel-plated soldier in the front, sword on his belt and lance in hand, lifted his sad eyes beyond the mountains to the gray sky, scattered with billowing clouds. His family's voice, his childrens' laughter, played over and over in his head. He knew that his foes, what his army was going against, was just beyond the next rise, and he was not sure he would return when the battle was over. But there was still a spark inside of him, a fierce candle of hope, and that was all that was keeping him marching, taking one step forward after another. He felt no fear, no anger, just a lonely, icy calm, settling over him with grim certainty. He was marching for his land, his family, his people, and if it came to that, he would give his life defending it. So as the opposing army came into view and the war drums intensified and then silenced, he gripped his weapons harder and thought, 'This is the day I fight for my people.' His commander raised a sword, and as the army surged forward around him, he went with them, a wordless roar on his lips, and disappeared into the battle.
Edit: I realized it is a little dark sorry about that.

I listened to this (turned up loud) before reading your description, and I completely got what you were trying to get across with it. I heard the tale of a land burdened by war and grief but still being fought for by brave heroes and people with love and hope in their hearts. A sense of a story that could be about one person or an entire kingdom of people, or both. I absolutely love this. I think it's as good as, if not better than Northwind, which has been my favorite of yours since you released it. Wonderful work. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Again an amazing song! If I listen to this song, my imagination shows me ind of amazing views of scenes you could see in films like the lord of the rings, as you say, too. It's just amazing how you can make me seeing these kind of scenes when I listen to your music.
By most of your songs, I'm always amazed by how good you are as a musician... I play saxophone for eight years now and quite a few people say I'm a real talent, but if I have to improvise, I can't just play even one little melody, while you just make this kind of big, wonderful music. You are really a big talent! Thank you for making this beautiful music :)

The air was heavy with battle; a cold wind swept the empty plains, stirring the dull tattered banners held aloft against the flat dark sky. The faces of the soldiers were grim and set, ready to face whatever fate lay across the dark blue waters of the river before them and the empty field of stumps lying rotting and forlorn in the damp grass.
Both sides knew what had to come, each resigned to his own grave. The head of one side raised his steel blade, which hung silver and dull against the angry sky. His men followed, raising their own weapons in a final salute. Rain began to fall, splattering lightly on their unwashed iron helms.
The men began to run. Their feet tore and ripped the dark sodden grass beneath their feet, each soldier’s mouth open in a wordless cry, one of death, one of bravery. They met their opponents, steel crashing into iron, swords briting deep. The rain began to tumble from the sky, as if the world itself cried angry tears for the men below, and the pain that awaited each of them.
Blood poured into the mud, turning the river red with death. Each scream wrent with terror and pain, grief and triumph. The battle was quick, lasting a few moments, yet left the field empty and broken, silent for the lives of the soldiers lost. Rain thundered from the sky, drenching the limp and formless bodies of those whom fought. The men’s cries echoed soundlessly through the gorge, a ghost of the soldiers’ fury.
The banners, limp and hanging, heavy with water, drifted soundlessly against their broken shafts, abandoned by the masters at their feet.

I'm probably very obvious here but I just wanted to say that a lot of your song names now and in the past are very inspired by fantasy worlds like a Game of Thrones. Which I really like because I don't see a lot of people caring about small names that are usually connected to fantasy that can mean a lot to someone like us! Thank you for creating this amazing content!

Thank you for your kind words. To be completely honest , I didn't know there was a land called "Riverlands" in the Game of Thrones universe. I haven't read the books and I don't remember it being mentioned in the TV series . I guess it was a pleasant coincidence :)

Actually The Riverlands DO exist on Game of Thrones universe!
It's a very nice piece of music, which perfectly describes what your imagination
intented to! If the 4th book of ASOIAF series "Feast for Crows" had a soundtrack, I think this would work greatly!
Congrats BrunuhVille, keep working on music inspired by Medieval enviroments, it suits you well!
