They theorized that everything happening was in Zach's dreams because the show started out being called "Good Morning Ms. Bliss". They went to school in Indiana and Zach never got away with anything. Then, all of a sudden they're in California, everything goes his way, and he's gets away with most things. Also, the theme song talks about the bell at the end of the day being the alarm waking him up.
I used to know a guy, who in college, was just like Zack. He knew nothing about this show and everyone called him Zack. Even after he found out he took it as a compliment.
