A bit optimistic about precision of a vernier caliper. Unless you are in a temperature controlled toolroom, I don't rely on a vernier caliper measuring better than 0.1 mm.
The illustration shows incorrect metric/imperial proportions on the main scale and wrong type and zero placement of the vernier scale on the inch side. Quarter inch negative zero error to begin with lol Don't try measuring in inches with these typical import quality calipers and instructions!
