Omg I've been binging on Family Secrets since I watched this video! So interesting! And now I'm like "am I adopted?!" Even though I'm the spitting image of my dad and my mom's very detailed horrifying story of when I was born cannot be made up hahaha. Thanks for sharing!
I loved Detective Trapp and Dolly Parton’s America. I’ve really liked Pretty Big Deal with Ashley Graham, Where Should We Begin with Ester Perel, The Moth radio hour from NPR (real people tell stories), and S-town.
Probably you already heard the podcast called "Happy place", Fearne is amazing, she has a beautiful accent and always bring a guess that sometimes blow up something like a great phrase and make us think about Life.

I'm obsessed with true crime! I loved Dr. Death and I live in the DFW area so this was mind blowing to hear them talking about real hospitals that I have actually been to. I absolutely LOVE Crime Junkie and Casefile is really good too. Cold is really good and it's all about the Susan Powell case. Voices for Justice is really good. It's about a girl that went missing and it looks like her stepfather did something and now her sister is trying to get justice for her so she's talking about it and things she's found out through the years in hopes they will prosecute her dad. It's about April Turney. I just added all of these that I haven't yet listened to and going back to watch your other podcast recommendations now!

I know I am two months late but I love this podcast and I am still listening to it. Welcome to Nightvale. I don't know for sure that's the exact title. All I know for sure is that there is Welcome To Night...
It's with a person (I haven't listened to it in a week so I forgot his name)talks for a radio place and he talks about the 'normal' stuff that happens in the town. (It follows the storylines most episodes)The person gets a new intern every (small random number) of episodes. At the start of every (well not EVERY episode)episode there is a new weird thing. Everytime it's time for the weather they just play a random song that was made for the show but has nothing to do with it. The radio talker (I feel so dumb for forgetting his name!)he keeps talking about this scientist named Calos (sorry for my bad spelling of the name)that he thinks is cute. That's all I can really without giving anything away.
These are some really good podcasts! My wife and I started our Audio Drama Podcast two months ago about our dating experiences to marriage. We are doing everything ourselves from creating the scripts and editing. We are noobs but would love to hear your feedback! We are almost done with season one.
Drum Run was one I really like -- dark and dramatic...only through episiode 5 so far.

I love love love the pod cast “Root of evil”
I finished this pod cast a couple of weeks ago. I had heard about it about 6 months ago but thought I knew everything about the black Dahlia murder. But this pod cast takes in a totally different perspective of that case and the case is actually just the backstory to this pod cast. The story of the Hodel family is fascinating and at times you will have a hard time believing that this is a true story!!! Check it out!!
Real people telling the story
Like you said anyone can read a story go from a book but these ladies are sisters and they tell the story like they are telling it to you. Real emotion and loots if dimensions!! You gotta listen
