After spoiling the Ashanti and Eastern Regions, they now want to come and try their nonsense in the Volta Region. They shouldn't try their nonsense there o. I never knew there are chemicals in the tap causing these things.

I appreciate the demonstrations being made against galamsey but as long as Ghanaians are not serious with matters and not law abiding, this will lead to nothing. There are enough laws and regulations governing small scale mining and banning illegal mining. The problem is that the police is unable to enforce our laws and they kowtow to pressures from big men.
Until the police become on top of issues and keep on compromising in enforcing our laws, galamsey will continue.

This very demonstration is uncalled for. The timing is not appropriate. Why all these happenings when election is very close. Who came to applaud the government when he set up the operation vanguard to curb the menace. People lamented bitterly on the burning of excavators, and this took political dimension.
Lemme tell u guys we are level-headed, and we won’t resort to such Machiavellian political tactics to make incumbent government unpopular.
Ask urself galamsey has been a canker since time immemorial, and what has the youth done to help solve this bane. Is it not the same youth who in the name of ‘ there’s no job in the country’ do galamsey.
A better Ghana is a holistic approach, and we must all be involved.
We have misconstrued independence since gaining independence as a country. We thought gaining independence was a means to get richer overnight. So our leaders are corrupt, and for the youth I can’t say much.
When Nkrumah was overthrown ,youth that time jubilated because they thought the coming government would put cake every morning on people’s plate.
If as a country we fail to turn to the right course, we will continue to wallow in our distress.
Let’s ask ourselves that how many people genuinely pay tax. If a government tries to impose tax, it will be politicized.
    Let’s change
