I can't for the life of me work out how he's changing cue points!? Because I F my routines up with being too slow on the draw with my Hot cues, He's either faster than the Flash with Hot cues or he's doing something I'm not aware of yet.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by changing cue points but I suspect you're confused about the way jfb preps his sets. A lot of the time he has put together custom edits as so they run into each other. He doesn't have to trigger a cue every time you hear something new.
If you watch even a pre recorded mix this is impressive if you've ever scratched knowing the position of the song is vital it can get very hectic keeping track and making sure you cut back into the right part of the track I'm watching and I'm still scratching my head.
You guys can be impressed if you like. I can't give credit to someone who mixes a set before hand and video himself not changing tracks or hitting cue points. It makes me doubt the whole performance.

he's not loading tracks. It's just the same long pre-mixed track on both decks....essentially no mixing involved...this allows the focus to be on scratching and beat juggling. It's not cheating as much as he's just focusing on two aspects of djing and skipping a few others such as mixing and beatmatching....i mean California Love is like 90 bpm and Pump It Up is at 105 or 106 if I remember correctly and Rapper's Delight is like 114 BPM....notice he isn't moving his tempo meters nor is he hitting any cue point....it's real djing....it's just not djing while incorporating all factors of djing simultaneously....props for the scratching and beat juggling skills
@@MrSelectabwoy We must have two different definitions of beat juggling because when I "beat juggle" it looks something like and it's also what's defined on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_juggling Beat juggling section 1: 0:40 - when he spins the record back to a previous starting point on the left turn table and then the right turn table. 0:49 - this is when he goes hog wild on beat juggling - yes he's cutting but he's also re-winding the record back to a specific cue point - if he wasn't rewining the record then yes I would concur that he's only cutting from one record to the other - but he's doing both cuts and rewind the record to a previous beat - thus beat juggling. Beat juggling section 2: 1:22 - again he's not just cutting the sound between the two records - he's pulling the beat back on one table and then pulling back the beat on the other table and then cutting between the two - if that's not beat juggling - I don't know what is. Beat juggling continued at: 2:09 3:02 3:17 3:54 4:12

Not sure why I thought that - I guess I've always associated the term with the more complex juggling first done by the likes of Roc Raida, Noize, A-Trak et al (ie completely rearranging beats/changing tempo and so on). Realise now it's all the same thing just varying in complexity. Doesnt excuse it lol but when I typed that I was still enraged by the comment below about how 'this is the only time beat-juggling actually worked and sounded great' ... utter nonsense obvs :)

He's mixing 2 prepared digital files with edits of all the tunes, set to clean drop at end of each section, therefore doesnt need cue buttons
