Would love to see an MPC Mini which went head to head with the SP404 in field sampling and chopping workflow. Needs to run MPC OS, and let us open our projects on MPC / Force.
I'm half hype half meh. I hope it's good but since I don't "need" it... it would have to be amazing for me to buy it. However I would love a mpc version of the op1
I personally would love if the new mpc live mini or mpc studio mk3 (whatever it's called at the end)... Looks like a Mpc 1000. And with everything you need for a Well Fluid Workflow. (besides that it does not have a very highly exaggerated price compared to its competition)
I would be interested if it were a similar size to the 404mk2 and used the same software. The 404 is great but is cumbersome and has a completely different work flow compared to the MPC. I have made songs on the 404 and hate getting them moved into the MPC software. I use the 404 as a midi controller with my laptop more than anything. Something in between would be good enough to sell the 404 easily.
I think you’re right on this one Ave. I wonder what kind of software they would run on that small screen though. But if they do make one in that form factor with a battery at about $400-$500, it would sell like crazy
We've been blessed with a lot of new gear but we probably need a break. I'm a Maschine and MPC guy and I'm now trying to learn the Push 3 workflow.........help!
cool video 👍, an MPC Live Mini with 6 audio outputs would be perfect for dubbing on an analog table with real effects and above all very transportable for live shows, for the moment I have a One and I'm waiting a little before getting a Live1 or Live 2 on the second-hand market
Question for you or if you can help me my Mpc X the headphone port stop putting out sound if you know the problem, could you help me out or if anyone else knows appreciate it very much salute
I’m always hyped for new stuff when it involves “additions” or “changes” in terms of functionality, *cough*smoothertimestretchinginstandaloneandmaybestems?*cough, lol but if it’s a money grab (most likely) where they’re just repackaging it for newer users, I’m good. I think Akai got it on lock with this Live 2 man.
I'M GETTING IT!!!! sence Pad Pusher announced it I've been saving my chips... I agree with you I believe the Live Mini will be across from a MPC 500 or a STUDIO 2... but I think it might have smaller pads a bit smaller than the MPC One but the screen might be the same size or as big as a Galaxy phone 5 to 6 inches.... so that's my opinion who knows.
@@AveMcree I always thought the mpc was to clean a sound compared to a sp 1200, but yes E-A-SkI is on that movement now 😂 but really though I think the lofi 12 has that sound not saying the workflow or best quality build but I get that hiphop sound I like. definitely from that device a pocket operator ko 33 or a Roland SH-4d Nunomo qun mk2 soma roat or even iPad lately with the right efx’s I do like air flavor pro. I still say it’s the best software they sold to get that sound and that’s not converters but my gripe with akai is paying for to much software for sound where as my SH-4d can just sculpt that sound and with updates hence why I said it needs a new software a lite version even maybe 🤔 but we all know the old mpc’s sounded better and they to much like a pc now I’d like to see them go back to a mpc 500 myself .
I was thinking Q-Links at the same time you said it. The Studio 2 has a lot of buttons, but a smaller screen than its predecessor (like, NI got away with putting that tiny ass screen on the Mikro mk3 and everyone followed suit lol -_- ). I don't know how much it relies on the computer screen, but I agree it should have a bigger screen; non-Max/Plus iPhone-sized? They could pull what Teenage Engineering did with the OP-Z and let it use your smartphone as the screen🧐
Add a touch screen above where the pads are and 4 Q-Links on the side of the screen with digital scribble strips. Give it two ins and outs. Keep it around $500. That would make this a very competitive offering. However, Akai doesn’t like to do things like that. They rather immaterially improve what they already have
I love the studio mk2 controller. I feel that I have a much heavier understanding of how to use my standalone gear now that I have solid understanding of how the software performs in itself. Q links would be tight. Better bigger screen would be great. But the touch strip works fairly well for navigation of qlinks as well if it didn't.
Yeah, I really don't want that mouse display on a stand-alone unit. We already know, the Mini will be smaller than MPC Studio, so it will have MPC One pads.
Im still rocking my Live 2 (RE), and just ordered the X SE. I may get the Mini and pass my Live 2 down to my son. Or just get the mini for him if it doesn't have the speaker. I need something to freak when i'm traveling. Them hotel rooms get boring yo.
Akai mpc stidio mk2 is very powerfull!!! if you were a producer and singer you will end using computer to record vocals...so you will end up to using computer, mpc studio mk2 is a hybrid aproach. Its an mpc with a pc power, much better than a standalone at least thats my statement, the feel of an mpc with a pc power....for me its perfect!!!!
@@thahystsince everyone says the mpc software has a better quality of sound and I see videos of people using their mpc as a controller for the software I’m sticking to the mpc 2 software and my mpk mini mk3 lol

Mpc studio first version, but standalone and with batteries

I’m somewhat happy with what I’ve got. The MPC One learning curve is somewhat harder than Maschine.
I would come back to Akai if the MPC Mini was true. I have downsized my set up to mainly run off the SpMk2 and the Polyend Tracker Mini
How do you like the PTM? Also do you have previous experience with trackers?
I'm waiting for the live 2 + red with quality pre-amps, more RAM, at the same price as the Live 2. ! 🙂
I'd pre order a live mini day one, portable beat making is the future! I search the words Live Mini at least twice a week
😂 same
I think you’re right about the form factor. They probably go with One(+) pads to help make room for q links. Probably won’t have 4 tho

It will probably cost 799 given competitors and components. Compare with Polyend Tracker Mini.
They better add some "Converters" to it ...if it is a new mpc live mini coming soon!

That would be so cool, kind of like a modern mpc1000!
Akai is stagnant, MPC studio is a MPD, dont know why they called it a MPC.
Yup indeed a pure money grab smh

I got a Rossum Assimil8or and I like it a lot. I’m curious what you would think of it
The idea of a MPC Mini is great! As small as 404, but more ... MPC with workflow
It did work in the past w 1000 and 500
so... and where is it now? are there any news?

I love my LIVE and X SE! Best of both worlds IMO. Thanks for ur awesome content! I always look forward to ur videos
I've got to agree. With a "live mpc" you can carry it around everywhere & an X "with converters" for the studio is the way to go. 👍

The Live is my favorite by far. Battery powered. A Live mini would be perfect.
(The rumor included the idea that it's a different OS, developed by an outside company?)
It is not a new mpc, was speaking to Dan from Akai, it is the Timber Wolf 2 😂
i might come back to akai if they make a mini and it has new software and good converters
