Doodle puppies and furnishings: what's the correlation with shedding?

What are "furnishings" anyway? How do you know if a doodle is furnished? (SPOILER ALERT: your breeder MUST test or know parents' furnishings!) Does coat texture tell you if your dog will shed?
Walk through these questions with me as I show you our F2 Bernedoodle litter face to face with examples of coat texture and I'll explain puppy hair vs. fur explanations, and why we test furnishings for this litter. If you've got allergies and you want to bring home a doodle, you NEED to know this information before your search begins! Don't be fooled by that cute puppy - make sure you know what to look for to get what you need and want to live with!
Wait - doodles SHED? We don't believe any breeder should claim they have a fully 'non-shedding' to sell you; or that complete "hypoallergenic" is a claim you can make. AND yes - if you don't know the generation and furnishings of your pup you could bring home a doodle that sheds. Make sure your breeder not only health tests, but does these tests you need as a puppy owner!
