I bought mine today 13/5/22. Used the scarifier on very dry soil at 3mm deep for the 1st time and did a decent job. Next try at 6mm on little wet soil. I will come back to comment.
I did my front yard and then used my lawnmower to clean the thatch up. Wasn't hard and didn't take much time. The hardest thing was dumping the thatch every few minutes
Super tare videoclipul.
Is it this years model? Just bought one last week. Used it today and something shattered underneath it, like a plastic bushing or similar. And one of the wheels fell off. Really disappointed, looks like Lidl is following Aldi down the Chinese tat road.
The scarification process removes organic matter, such as thatch or moss, from around the base of the grass plants and tidies up any straggly lateral growth, that will otherwise prevent good dense grass growth. The mess that you see left behind it's essential to be removed at least once a year if you want to have a perfect lawn.
First I pass de lawnmower, then the scarifier. After doing the job, I pass the lawnmower with its bag again and collect all the leftover grass. The bag fills up too quickly and it isn't practical.
It gets rid of dead grass that has been left behind when mowing. This allows the grass to breathe and grow thicker, also allows seeds to gain contact with the soil when over seeding.
This item had terrible reviews from those who had purchased it. Burning out after only a few uses, lack of cables and fixings, and overall very poorly built. Don't be fooled by the price. Buy cheap pay twice!
@@KillieGuy1 I bought mine this morning- the collection box fills like 25% only and that’s it before the machine is regurgitating the moss. I used it without the box
First off, that's not even close to being an aerator, This pull the dead thatch layer from the lawn, allowing the lawn to breath, take in water and thicken up with over seeding. aerating is pulling 3-4inch plugs out of the lawn allowing the soil to breath and preventing compaction, usually this is accompanied by top dressing and over seeding. both have the same desired result but are far from the same machine, also used under different circumstances.. 164k views and no information.
He's using the thing wrongly, should have used the scarifying roller first to get rid of the moss and thatch, then the aerator roller to cut into the sod layer ..
Looks like cheap Chinese rubbish. It won't last long. I had a Qualcast for 4 years of heavy work. Can't believe it's so difficult to replace it with anything as good.
I have started with electric chainsaw, then i bought a drill, after that flex and many more...all work fine, not the performance tools edge but still give quality results

I brought one 2 years back and I tend to use the pins on the highest setting better results
What a great video! Love how you also show the results without the bag and the different methods of collecting the thatch if you don't use the bag.

How did it do?
How many times a year and when do you recommend doing this to the grass?
Use a rotary mower with a collection box/bag on a high cut height to suck up that debris.
Cool advice! Great Ideea!

Salut!
De unde cumpar tambur de scarificat pentru parkside
Este stric scarificator! Nu va lasati pacaliti de cuvantul aerator, ca nu fac aparatele astea asa ceva.
The motor has burnt out...where can i get a replacement part?
Read the instructions manual.
It comes with a collection bag but you decide not to use them wasted time raking the lawn.
Why?
Good luck using that lawn vac. !
:)) I personally find it useful. Sure, it takes more time and effort, but I get a better result in cleaning the dead grass than using a rake
@@YouCanDoIt_Channel Just use the mower and bag it
My God the vacuum is the hardest thing to use in my garden I would rather rake 😂
I bought one of those last year; its pretty useless, difficult to use and gets clogged up easily. A leaf blower would be a better option.
Mine lasted half a lawn .crap .now to see how I get my coin back

What does it do exactly? Does it cut the grass or just leave a mess behind it. It's hard to make out what it does

what is the point in this machine?
it's a video. look at it:)
It gets rid of dead grass that has been left behind when mowing. This allows the grass to breathe and grow thicker, also allows seeds to gain contact with the soil when over seeding.
It gets rid of moss and dead grass that builds up over time, allowing the lawn to breath and regenerate.
So its scarifier not airator! You punch cores into lawn when airating. This is simply a scarifier
A scarifier airates also when the blades go in the soil.. Not sure if as effective but deof does to a certain degree...

Ive bought a lot of parkside stuff over the years; most of it is pretty good quality but obviously not heavy duty professional grade.
