So much of this is so new to me, I hardly know what I'm looking at, but interestingly enough I find it oddly reassuring that people are willing to spend 10's of thousands of dollars for these amazing horses. Thank you so much for taking me along, I learned a lot! 🐎
I am glad I got to share another auction experience with you! Ha that is funny! Sometimes people get concerned when I say we sell horses at auction (because they think I mean kill pen type) ... I always tell them that somebody is pretty serious and going to take care of a horse they spend $20,000 - $30,000+ for. Thanks for coming ☺️
@@cnahorsesYeah it's like buying a new car 😆 But yeah it's a big investment. I had someone give me an leppard appaloosa mare. She was 8 when I got her given to me. I was offended 50 grand for her. But I couldn't do it. She was my bestfriend. She would do anything I asked. Kids could walk under her or climb on her. She was absolutely amazing. I lost her at 30 yrs old. She lived a great life and was very loved by me 😪

I'm a noobie. I would enjoy the culture, food and those horses are pretty cool at what they can do. There were alot of hut hut hut and language I have no clue what they mean. Love her video and her marketing skills. I subbed. Thank you for sharing.

WOW......There were some really nice horses. I liked the neck on the very 1st horse. Then I really liked a paint horse, I think it was lot #23. He moved really nice, I love color. I wish I could have seen some of the palominos, I don't remember any lot numbers. But that was really fun 😊 I'm so glad you took us with you. Oh and I loved that little half linger too. He was really put together, and loved his tail, just beautiful. Sooo much FUN!! Thanks again Amry 😊 Can't wait for JACKPOT tomorrow 😃!! Love and Blessings ❤️🙌 Jennifer

Thank you for taking us along with you to the auction. My favorite was the Haflinger. I don't think he sold. They was asking $15000.00 I feel it was a fair price, because they had training time and feed. If i had a Haflinger pony. I would hitch him to a cart and give rides in my pasture. Maybe take him to parades ,but considering my age🙂It's best I just watch you and Cisco ride and train horses.
Thanks for coming along! I thought the Haflinger was awesome. They bid him up to $11,500 but he wanted %15,000. I would think he probably sold after the sale, I agree, he was worth it! Thanks again! ☺️

So many big name studs, 14 looks like a decent build with some cool splash. 24 would be basically because of the paddy’s Irish whiskey being the sire, supposedly a smooth gait is inherited out of him.
Agreed! Big name studs. Lots of good ones, and I really like Paddy's Irish Whiskey! Loli Pop goes back to him... I'll have to ask Cisco if he is smooth!

What a cool video! I remember going out to the Flying-E to rope with my dad for the guests. Back then it was just a Dude Ranch and they would have roping events to show the "City Folks" what cowboys did... Wickenburg has grown up so much since then. I should have gone into the horse business! Thanks for sharing my hometown to the world.

26 bid $12,500 but N/S so we will never know how much he's worth but i like the overall build and nice bay color.

I have 2 horses. An 18 yo TWH gelding and a 10 month old Friesian filly. I would get whatever horse is beginner roper friendly because I’ve never roped before and whichever one is not black because my two are black so I’d like some color in my herd.

Number 1 was my favorite. Sold $9,000 more than I thought.

#4,6,7,8,18,61,66 is the horses I would bid on in an imaginary world I am a Highbow cat,Smart little Lena, and Playgun fan those are in my mares pedigree and she’s a very nice horse but was just at the RedBluff gelding sale in California and there was 2 horses that went for $50,000 and 2 that went for $45,000 most were in between $18,000-30,000 💸 they were nice horses though anyway I like to play with horse sales too so if one day I do buy another I have had some practice doing my homework 😂

I can sure say prices have changed a whole lot since I got my first baby granted she was 6 weeks old we also bought the mare both for $150 registered Appaloosa’s we got to grow up together. Can’t wait for the next sale hope everything went great for you and Cisco!

I live in Phoenix and I am looking for a big head horse as I am a bigger guy. I don't have this kind of money to spend! WOW! The shetland sold for 12k? WTHeck?? Rope horses have exploded! Thank you for this video! I have to stay away from Wickenburg so I don't end up selling the house for a rope horse!! hahaha.

That was really cool. So, did you and Cisco chat about it and see a trend in either the working talents, confirmation, bloodlines or color bringing the higher prices? Just curious.
Glad you enjoyed it! Good question! We noticed that people like color (they prefer a buckskin to a sorrel... for the most part) and it seemed like roans were popular as well! But I would say the big thing that separated the top horses from the mild ones was overall horse demeanor. The ones that were extra gentle and calm in all situations stood out. ☺️
yes, older rope gelding, he is 25, retired...in Payson...just snooping around...am thinking I may not have enough money!!!! I'd take that dang half linger...just my size!!

Hey there! I think it is so fun to go to these sales just for fun! I don't think they do mail catalogs, they just had them available at the sale. But most of the sale info is post online or on Facebook. You can search 'The Rope Horse Sale' on Facebook to follow them and stay up to date on next years sale ☺️
My daughters and I play the game of who can guess the closest to the selling price.

Cool video🙌🏼 I too❤horse auctions! Love the environment of it. 🐴🐴🐴I use to write a quick summary of each of the animals and $ it sold for! We have a big performance sale in the spring here in Central Alberta. The highest I think sold for $31,000 🇨🇦. Love your variety of the videos you make🙌🏼👍🏼🤠🐴🇨🇦

I personally thought #2, the first paint, would have sold for much more than the 9K it did sell for! That Halflinger sure was a cutie too and sold for much more than I thought it would! There used to be a horse auction, live online, every Saturday night. Not sure if they still do. You could even bid on them!

Hey Patti! The Hershberger horse sale is coming up March 3rd in Scottsdale, AZ and then the Rancho Rio horse sale is March 11th in Wickenburg, AZ.
No horse at this time and can't afford one, but if I could I would purchase a roan filly from JHeart and have you do the ground work.

In Brazil, sellers sell animals in 36 equal installments, and give up to 15% discount to those who prefer to pay on the spot, it is much easier for a novice buyer to get into horse breeding.
It is possible to buy any breed of horse at auctions in Brazil.

@@cnahorses I would like to help clarify how the horse auction works in Brazil, in case you want to follow along on TH-cam tomorrow.
The full value of the auctioned horse is divided into 36 months, but the first 6 installments are double and then there are 30 months of 1 monthly installment. The first installment always has a higher value, as it includes 8% of the total amount, it is the Auction Company's commission, plus the first 2 installments.
Example: (8%+2)+2+2+ 1+1 + 1..........until the thirtieth month. Often the buyer wins the delivery freight. As I mentioned earlier, in Brazil it is much easier to buy a horse, I never bought one because I had nowhere to put the horse, here in America it seems much more difficult.
