You got a little brave? Your braver that I am. I panic just watching youtube videos. As for the rules and regulations, I don't think they're too restrictive, they're pretty much common sense really. And I certainly can't see how you broke any rules in this video. Really enjoyed watching it, and the quality of a Gopro really stands out in this vid.
TreCoolResident I dont know what the rules are in other countries but in the USA you are required to keep it in visual range and stay under 400 feet but those restrictions are rediculous...no one really follows those guidlines. I thought it was a nice video and I enjoyed it. I just bought mine and am impatiently waiting for it to arrive lol.
+Dustin Dunnill , this is just footage out of the cam at 4k then converted for youtube at 1440p using the GoPro app , no post process just protune settings in camera. I need to get some decent video software , all the software I have is more photograhpy related , Lightroom etc
Yeah I'm new to GPS and FPV quads so I went with the low options to save a few hundred bucks. I'm not making videos (except for my own viewing) though so it is a great craft to start with in my opinion. Pictures on the low version are the same as the high version. Video quality is the same as well except for less stability. However that stability is very nice... your video makes me want the high option gamble. I have not noticed the jello effect yet, just the shake (yes shake, no jello). Dustin, your videos helped me a lot in deciding to go with the X4 pro; so thank you very much. LeeMc007 thanks for sharing. Great video! I just flew mine over a lake which made me have a heart attack for the entire flight, but everything went well. Does anyone know if their is a way to change the return to home (RTH) settings. I want to have it fly home always at least a certain height above the ground. It seems from my limited experience that if you activate the RTH function and are lets say 100m above the ground it will fly back at 100m above the ground and then come straight down. That is fine. What bothers me is that if RTH is activated relatively low, for example 10 feet above the ground, it will only climb to about 20 feet (yes feet) and then come home at 20 feet... I wish it would go much higher before flying home. Anybody know anything I don't?
Had a post on here regarding rules over flying a drone in the Uk , I deleted it because I am not on youtube to argue with people , I'm here to share the fun I have with my hobby. I refuse to start or get involved in a flame war , don't like it ? Don't care!! This is a direct quote from the CAA regarding drone flights in the UK "When you fly a drone in the UK it is your responsibility to be aware of the rules that are in place to keep everyone safe. Follow these simple steps to make sure you are flying safely and legally. Make sure you can see your drone at all times and don't fly higher than 400 feet Always keep your drone away from aircraft, helicopters, airports and airfields Use your common sense and fly safely; you could be prosecuted if you don't. Drones fitted with cameras must not be flown: within 50 metres of people, vehicles, buildings or structures over congested areas or large gatherings such as concerts and sports events" At no point in this video have I gone over 400ft or with 50 metres of people or buildings , I've flown it sensibly and always in full control and not near airports , heli's , sporting events or congested ares such as those.Oh and don't believe I havent flown above that ?Don't really care because I have the telemetry saved to prove it. Last I'll say on it !! Have a nice day Lee
Yea the CAA regulations are a bit of a bastard and restrict our enjoyment of the hobby, just like the road traffic regulations restrict the fun of driving - we only have a motorway speed limit because of one twat in a Jaguar back in the 60's or when ever. The trouble is, every time there's an "incident" a new restriction gets introduced. I remember when the 50M (Flightline) rule came in in the early 90's after a kid got killed when a RC plane went through the side of his head at a regulated flying club. At the time the authorities were proposing to introduce a law to make all pilots and spectators wear crash helmets and only allow flying at regulated flying clubs! Thankfully they went for the less restrictive 50M, flightline rule. There are no rules specifically for quadcopters, they are regulated by the same rules that have been around for decades regarding any RC flying. The trouble is, people now believe the marketing hype that quads fly them selves just by pressing a button, then rush out and buy a Phantom. They are oblivious to any regulations, don't realise that they actually need to learn to fly the thing because GPS and automation doesn't always work, then fly in a completely inappropriate area, and injure someone or damage some thing and fuck it up for the rest of us. Unless we self-regulate our hobby and spread some knowledge about, idiots will destroy the hobby for the rest of us. So it is worth talking about regulations, safety and common sense just to educate people, before we end up with so many restrictions, it becomes impossible to fly at all! I didn't see the post you deleted and am not making any judgement about your flying, but it is an issue that effects us all and is worth air time (excuse the pun).
Very nice footage and you can tell its recorded by a superior camera. The camera which Hubsan supplied with my X4 Pro is a complete letdown. The camera in my cheap H501s is far better. I just wish I could put the H501s camera on the X4 Pro platform for stability then we would have the perfect setup. I wouldn't worry about the CAA and their ridiculous rules, if you act sensibly, away from airports, act responsibly, the CAA need not be involved.
Awesome Lee Max 007 , Thank You..

Thank You , I've just done a 1000M range test in high wind , check it out.
Very cool !
Thanks ;)
Amazing view, ty for sharing it, was also Wondering how high up i can fly my drone
Great vid Lee. Makes me want to get the Hubsan 3D gimbal. I see no jello or shake :) Is this raw video? no post process?

great video I keep looking at this for an upgrade to my H501s, but think I only need to the single gimbal set up for what I need
should be one of these!

rotor kv ?
Is it hubsan h501s with go pro? What is max time flight with go pro?

Camera?
Hi! You use gopro 4 here, right?
Natalia Mazurina yeah , this is using the Hero 4 👍
Dustin Dunnill has done a much braver range test than me , find it here th-cam.com/video/rBlWFC7sOUA/w-d-xo.html
