Same thing happened to my sorc while leveling!! got Tal amu in nightmare cow, and a Shako off a random pack in act1! Such wonderful finds!!! (I was 47 when amu dropped, and 58 or so for Shako)
Man you play different game than me....the easy how you move and play is the biggest game changer. Me playing diablo after 20y is just super slow mode version afraid of majority hell groups lol, but nice video. I may shift from orb hydra to lighting orb

He’s level 70/Act 2 Hell and so far he’s found Vipermagi(Nm spider cavern during quest), Skullders(horking trash mob in Nm Durance on meph quest), and earlier today I found Que Heggens horking trash mob in act 2, and yesterday got an Ist on The Countess quest. He’s simply the Blessed Beefy Boi. It’s been so wild lol

Great playthrough series, they carried me all the way to Matriarch, did everything on the video except I couldn't find a Shako and my Spirit rolled 30% FCR. Now what build should I use for farming Mephisto and getting high level runes on Hell diff?
Blizzard sorceress for Mephisto is one of the easiest to use. She is also extremely effective in farming Ancient Tunnels (even at p7/p8), and can also do Pindleskin and Cows. For high runes, MrLlamaSC has a separate video on it released February this year (th-cam.com/video/Nyl0UaCkPUI/w-d-xo.html)
He is also going Nova, which is a worse version of the usual light sorc, crazy! I love chain lightening as an ability in d2r and wish the res problems weren't so prevelent. You basically need griffons and lower resis on merc to feel decent.
Didn't realize the trav npc carrying the quest weapon was only fire immune. I unsuccessfully spent two hours trying to have my merc kill them all only to run out of money to resurrect. Less than 5min using this technique.
I did exactly the same as well. I played through the game as Frozen orb / Nova, and it worked great. But now to farm meph and ancient tunnels and arachnid lair, it's Blizzard all the way.
I'll make sure to remember I can go farm levels in nm next time I find shako before I can use it. I farmed meph and andy so many times I couldn't estimate. I have infinity and multiple 90+ characters and I still haven't dropped a shako.
@@noquarteratall780 I got my first ever shako from hell duriel on my hammerdin. And I’m pretty sure he’s considered one of the worst bosses to farm. Wasn’t farming him though, just the 1st kill to get me through the game. Super lucky
Hi guys. I know this is an off-topic question, but ..... Do you guys know the comparison of playing D2R using an SSD drive and M.2 NVMe drive ? I'm using SSD but it takes 15 secs to switch to Trav from different acts (i'm going nuts here). PS: I don't think that my problem is the CPU (Core i7 7700 4.2Ghz).
I'm not sure what the limiting factor is in load times. My cpu always peaks to 100% during loading screen, which points toward cpu being the bottle neck. There's some tricks with video settings that make a difference as well, I'm sure you can Google your way to a video about it. I wish I had a link to give you, but I have no idea where I saw it.
SURELY you should go for nova with the orb instead of lightning, right? Un-synergized lightning is just abominable.. At the time of respec the nova would have almost exactly the same avg dmg as lightning but hit faster and with massive aoe.

Wow that Frozen Orb respec was useful to show how much better it feels vs the other skills you were using. This is one of my main issues with D2, some of the skills feel so much better to use that it makes you feel like shit when using the lesser skills lol, and dont get me started on melee builds.
for some reason you dont use you Insight merc, for whole nightmare part. and you still dont use it? I know you like chugging potions, but why not use it tho and just enjoy free mana?
Cause without proper level grinding and farming for a decent polearm base and some lifesteal, your merc gets like 1 tapped in hell difficulty. He kinda speed runs these guided playthroughs but he says multiple times “you don’t have to go at this speed you can stop and grind levels/farm,” etc. not really free mana until you can keep your merc alive which takes some work in hell, he’s just a gold sink until then.

Challenge: You only get to kill stuff up until you get the first mercenary. From then on only the mercenary is allowed to kill stuff. Then beat the game without killing anything yourself and no minions that do damage apart from mercenary. Good luck!
@@steffenbryde7957 pole Boys are quite decent and with d2r fire arrow Rouge is decent. Just remember ask for pain expect to watch pain. Other possibly would be an auradin but again.... slow, painful, but very possible.

That's crazy bad luck for RNG. I have three shakos from playing D2 LOD for 1 year (11 years ago) and got another one playing 2 months into D2R. But I'm still missing a lot of good uniques like Arachs, Maras, HoZ, etc. I'm pure offline SSF so I need to look for everything I want to use.
How is blizzard the dumbest company ever? How do they not see the success of a 20 year old game getting a graphics rework and not decide to build a new Diablo with basically the exact mechanics abs a new lore, while keeping up with updating and expansions on the game… if D2 got the love that WOW got but kept the same mechanics and playability then it would shine way brighter than WOW
Diablo immortal has probably made them more money than any game they've ever made. People hate the game, but that's partially because it's so good at victimizing people. So it should honestly be the reverse: we should be thankful that any company still sees making decent games as a viable part of their overall strategy. Let's still rail mercilessly against gacha games, but they're honestly the best money making strategy for a company like bliz.
TheDazeez I'm thinking that it's not possible to build a new diablo with the exact same mechanics and update it with new expansions and it still be good. same as wow, D2 was designed at a time where you couldn't easily just google every little thing about the game, and a huge portion of their fun is the mystery involved in that.
@@Arcexey I honestly don’t think the googling thing would be their issue.. the issues would be that games today aren’t as “hard” as D2 was, both with loot and completion of storyline, they are more user friendly and most of todays games Can be completely beat in 20 hours a game play time, and I get frustrated with D2 sometimes when a pack is just impossible to kill, or whatever but I also like it for some reason 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheDazeez it's a lot of things for sure, but a big reason D2 was hard is because of the lack of information and FAQs. if you come to that hard pack you get frustrated with (the one that kills you multiple times, and you run out of gold to rebuy your merc) that pack is much easier dealt with if you know how armor works, and resistances, and what skills are shitty. i remember people putting random gems in good armor and talents all over the place cause nobody knew shit. WoW has the same issue, it'll never be as fun when you can just look info up instead of having to be social and ask... But certainly with all new games they also won't be as hard as the old D2 so they can sell it to bigger audiences and kids and shit, and they're way too short. that is 100% true!!
Since playing lost ark since launch I doubt i come back to d2. Combat looks too boring. I was at like 70% of my grail too. Even finding a near perf Dweb on Lost ark maintenance didn’t even excite me. 😂

It feels way more rewarding when you farm the gear yourself. Easier on the wallet, also!
I use fire wall less synergies to get to and high returns, add 1 pt to fire mastery. Can add Warmth as synergy

A shako drops off Andy every time
Just respeced my sorc to go full cold from cold/light. My Blizzard is doing like 1500 more damage but having Nova for cold immunes was nice.

I found 2 arachs before I found my shako in the 2.4 ladder… sometimes it’s just the way it works 🤷♂️

No. It upgrades what you have in your inv. If you don't have a gem at all it drops a chippec
