Tom, you just sent me back 70 years when my mum put my thumbs on the C and then the F and told me to just play all the black notes! Your improv is wonderful. I know it's a little late for me, but I might just give this a go. ❤😊

Thanks again for your videos, really love it..
    A few points..
    What worked for me..
Before the melody, no real problems with the rythmn.
When playing the chords, it was difficult for me to play the melody. I stopped the melody. I only worked on the left hand groove to the point it began to be a second nature. Then, i reintroduced the melody.
I prefer not to work on two things at the same time ( i am a man!).
My next step will be to find any left hand position that will facilitate the grip and improve the sound.
I am sure that people with smaller hand can not reach easily every note of the Cm7, as an example.
Last thing… i began the groove Masterclass.
No matter if a person is new to the piano or not, that course fit perfectly in any situation.
    Thanks again

Thanks Tom, I now understand this rhythm like never before. My problem is I now hear every measure as, "Thursday, I bought me a goldfish!"

Add a cat somewhere and the fish might disappear!

As a singer just stumbling into piano I very much like your approach on giving us relatively simple chord progressions with good voicing (at least more than good enough for me!!) that are quite easy to memorize - I have a visual approach it seems :) - THANK YOU!

Dear Tom! Your presentation was sensational. Thanks. I spent half a day on it, I understood a lot of things now, but I still need your 3-hour Groove course. I applied for it. Sincerely, Ferenc

Brilliant Tom. I’ve just started learning jazz at a basic level and Blue Bossa is recommended must learn at this level. Had a bit of trouble getting the groove but this lesson nailed it for me.

❤beautiful amazing thank you for such a short and comprehensive video😊 May I ask that if you're playing it with drum and bass as a trio, your groove will be less?

    • @contemporaryschoolofpiano
      @contemporaryschoolofpiano  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Very good question. There wouldn't be less groove, in fact you could suggest with a trio there would be more! This is because my left hand would go to the bass player which would free me up to play harmonies and other rhythms in the left hand.

    I have a technical question.
My rythmn is not bad… my « problem » is when i practice that kind of rythmn, i feel an inconfort on the top of my hand. Would it be because my hand is not solid enough, to soft?
Your videos are really really good!!!
    Thank,,,

@@contemporaryschoolofpiano i was filling the form to buy the Everyday day Groove. I noticed that i had to enter my zip code and phone number. I do not understand why these infos are relevant to the point to make it mandatory… finally, i changed my mind.. i will have that kind of masterclass from another source….too bad….

@claude5125 it's because of standard banking security rules, your card or credit card provider wants to authorise you as the payment provider, to verify it's you making that payments, it's not data that we see or have interest in other than its nice to know what country people are purchasing our courses. But Zip code and even phone number for purchases on the internet is now standard banking procedure. You have to do it on amazon and every other financially compliant organization. If you'd like to bypass this typical procedure, you can email us at admin@contemporaryschoolofpiano.com and ask for an invoice instead. Best wishes. Our students enjoy the extra support we give to our students, and the phone contact is an opportunity for real human connection. Though we don't ring students who want no connection with us, but if you are spending a token amount on a course it is the very least we can do to make sure you have all of the help you need. I understand that some companies don't have the best intentions and that leads to zero trust as the default postiob, but this is not us. The very fact we provide hours of free content is evidence of this. I would urge you to approach your music with a more open heart and mind. That's the type of student we want and need on our courses to provide the best results. Tom (London Contemporary School of Piano)
