KEEP IT TRUE
Keep It True is a metal festival in Germany. It was founded by Tarek Maghary (singer of the heavy metal band Majesty) and Oliver Weinsheimer (editor of the magazine “Rock Hard”) primarily as a festival for fans of the classic metal sound. It takes place at the Lauda-Königshofen, Tauberfrankenhalle. In 2021, Keep It True Rising, a sister festival born out of the corona pandemic, was established. The KIT Rising took place annually in autumn in the Posthalle Würzburg and was similar to the original in concept and musical direction.

Absolutely crushed to see Russ North pass on, one of the most majestic and powerful metal vocals ever
for sure. RIP
I was so lucky to know Russ and play in a couple of bands with him. He was the best member of every band he was in and we all knew it. He did not take himself too seriously but anyone who heard him sing knew there was real quality in his voice. He never reached the goals he strived for but he was the Real Deal. No pretence. Thank you for being a friend and band mate. Now get back on your stage Russ. RIP.

Yes, R.I.P. Mr. North! "Dominator" and "A Sultan´s..." are my fave Cloven Hoof albums. I was at that show, saw them a couple of times but they were never as good as here! Too bad he didn´t get the job in Iron Maiden in 1994... would have been the better fit imo.
Yeah, he would have been the perfect replacement.

Kinda. Russ was an excellent singer, one of the best of the NWOBHM wave if you ask me.
He does remind me of an ex Maiden vocalist but not that one. I was hearing a voice similar to Blaze Bayley but with an Ian Gillan style higher shriek.
@@jimmycampbell78 Russ once tried out to be Maiden's new singer. He was in the final two but lost to Blaze Bayley.
