I think a lighthouse is a lot more practical than a christmas tree! Very well done for the charity!
Are you going to put an actual light inside it so it can be 'functional' as well as decorative? It doesn't need to be a moving light but putting something would make it a delightful room light. A dimmable LED perhaps, or even a colour change lamp?

Thanks shipmate. Yes, I am looking to fit it out with a real moving light. I asked why the lighhouses didn't have lights, and they said it was something to do with health and safety. But real moving light it will have.
