I just got the Baltimore omnibus vol.1 over the weekend. I will never cease to be amazed at how Dark Horse managed to fit all that content, in a hardcover, at that price point.

It's a great book.
Definitely witchfinder is a really great addition to the Hellboy universe.
I love how with the story it ties into the future stories of Hellboy like giving us more information from the past with sir Edward.
Man look at the back of that book sleeve Ben love style with alot details.
I love how things from BPRD show up in the series too.

I love Tyler Crook's art. Kinda reminds me a lot of Eric Powell. I'll deffo be getting this to go with my other Mignolaverse books. Never read this character before though.

Definitely getting this. The price point on this and Baltimore omni is amazing. A Marvel omni of the same length would be 75 to 100 dollsrs.

Thanks for all you do, Uncanny Omar! However, on your review of this handsome volume, there was one glaring omission. No mention of the issues drawn by the great John Severin. That is the trade I'm familiar with, and this omni is a good opportunity to pick up other stories and upgrade the one trade I have. Severin, of course, goes back to the classic EC days, but I treasure his later work - in his eighties! - such as The Witchfinder, Rawhide Kid, Bat Lash and one of Garth Ennis' best Punisher stories. Also, sign me up for a Lobster Johnson omnibus!
I feel like a jerk, because the stuff with Severin got cut because of a sound glitch and I didn't have a chance to go and reshoot.

I'm late to the Mignola party. I've known of Hellboy for many years but never read any of the comics until late last year. Since that time, I've been reading, collecting the paperbacks, and collecting the recent omnis (Baltimore). I'll definitely will be picking this up along with the reprint of the x-men vol 1 epic collection. Another reprint is out that day for the Tomasi Batman omni reprint.... DC & Darkhorse have been hitting hard at the end of the year with collections! Animal Man by Lemire is out like 12/4. Definitely raining good books lately! Nice vid Omar.

You'll be waiting a long time for a Lobster Johnson omnibus. The omnibuses collect the stories in chronological order, and the earliest stories chronologically haven't yet been written. (Also, just so you know, Mignola is pronounced "Min-yola")
I've heard so many different versions of his name, but thank you i will try that. It breaks my heart to wait so long.
Thanks Omar. A wonderful edition and story. By the way Dark Horse will also publish 'The Devil You Know' as a collected HC edition. As I know 'The Devil You Know' will be released on September (2020). It would be great, Omar, if you would make a 'First Look' video for this one too.

@@NearMintCondition Not that I’m aware of. Devil You Know is the only thing not in omnibus, and that’s the standard three trades for these big editions.

I'm afraid we're going to have to wait until the Lobster Johnson series is finished. They want to collect the Lobster Johnson stories chronologically in the omnibus editions, and at the moment, the earliest stories in the Lobster's timeline haven't been written yet. Editor Katii O'Brien has said we'll have a long wait for those. However, there are Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. omnibuses in the pipeline.
Do you need to have read Hellboy or can you jump right in?
You don't have to at all. But there are some small cameos in this book too.
Will you be reviewing the Alan Moore Swamp Thing Absolute ? Waiting to see if the Quality is up to par before I buy it. Just got my copy of The Immortal Hulk hardback by the way. It`s a beauty. Will be getting the Venom hardback tomorrow.

On the binding I see that the paper is separating from the sewn pages. Is that bad? I just opened my Deadpool Adamantium Collection and it’s like that
For a book this size it hasn't affected the binding at all. I have a BPRD that did the same thing and I've had it for 7 years now.
Is there any way to make that eye??? My ape sapien HC doesn't have it :/
