Honestly, this is too epic for this scene. The one they got from the original episode suits the morbid, macabre of the scene, and for what's awaiting humanity next....
Yeah but for the last part of the song i think the epic tone fits eren transforming. I would delete Ymir's part music and put it on the part where the lighting begins
Tbh i feel like its supposed to be epic and morbid. We are seeing the erens biggest and terrying form with basically colossal titans around him. i think there could be a better ost tho. but the original kinda didnt get the mark either. so this edit and the ost dont have the full effect on whats happening here. And that sucks.
@@juicy5251 I mean, Eren HAS made an epic power up. One that fits him for specifically the Rumbling, and what shall unfold upon humanity. Be it grace, chaos, loyalty, or destruction.

fun fact it would take like 20 years to cover the earth with the rumbling, and you could easily just move out of the way to the side ahead of time of the relatively short line of titans mowing the lawn back and forth, and come back in behind them. You'd lose buildings but not that many people.
I love YouSeeBigGirl, but Footsteps of Doom was the perfect track for this scene I would never replace it To me, I associate it too much with the Reiner & Berthold scene in Warrior But I think we can all agree that the Attack on Titan OST is goated
Of course u cant just simply put you see big girl over every epic scene in AoT but to be fair it of course also works here and enhances this scene a lot. I think u gave the rumbling a lot more punch through your editing, it's the first time I got some chills from it and it put a smile on my face. So nice work. Thank you. :)
A lot of people are saying the original music fits the tone better, and while I agree that it worked VERY well, I do feel like this one is more appropriate than it seems. To me, this song is about regret. Hard choices, betrayal, wishing things could have gone differently. It plays when Ymir transforms for the first time, throwing away the life she had built for a chance to save the girl she loves. It plays when Reiner and Bertholdt are revealed, returning to Marley - despite everything it’s done to them - because they can’t conceive of anything else. This one also shares some parts of ‘Vogel im Käfig’ from the first season, which has its own aura of loss and regret: It plays over Carla’s death, giving up her own life so her children will have a chance. Eren’s first transformation, becoming the thing he hates more than anything. The deaths of Levi’s squad, which Eren sees as happening because he decided not to fight. What I’m saying is despite the tone, this doesn’t feel like a song of triumph. It feels like Eren’s final decision, coming back to the idea mentioned so often throughout Season 1, the idea Eren’s been fighting against the entire show: that to fight monsters, you have to become one yourself. In his conversation with Reiner under Liberio (at least in the dubs), he describes the Warriors as ‘trying to save the world’ and declares that he’s doing the same thing, that he’ll just keep moving forward until he’s killed all his enemies. In a way, the revelation at the end of Season 3 was the ultimate betrayal: this whole time, Eren’s been fighting to save humanity, and now he discovers that not only is humanity thriving, most see THEM as the threat. He’s done being idealistic, he’s done being betrayed, and he’s going to keep HIS humanity safe no matter what it takes, no matter how many he has to kill, no matter what he has to become.
100 years later. The day when the walls fell and humanity could indeed be destroyed by the Titans, but this is shown by the other side. Isayama is a genius!
If this was the live version of this event with this music I would have had a heart attack. I already had an overload just watching it, but the music to boot would have been overwhelming.
Always gonna agree that the original is best suited for this scene, but I’ve seen quite a few edits with this song and this one is by far the best made. Well done
I've seen a lot of these fan edits and the thing that most of them have in common is that they think just because the scene fits the timing of events of their favorite song, it's only natural that it should have been edited that way. But it doesn't work that way. The lyrics and tone of this song are about overcoming adversity and triumph. You could make the argument that this is exactly what is happening in the scene, and I would whole heartedly agree IF we hadn't spent the ENTIRE first part of the season watching Erin turn into a monster. All of the episodes leading up to this moment are meant to make you question Erin's motives, methods, and your idea of who he is. The entire show, Erin has wanted to be the typical Shonen hero that believes in the power of friendship and believing in yourself and every time he tried to do this, he was met with betrayal and bitter disappointment in reality. As a result, he's no longer the hero, he's the omen and the creator of the series wants the audience to know that Erin's actions are objectively wrong. Using songs of triumph in a moments like this would cause a disconnect. But the foreboding horns of the actual song they used fits because it signals the beginning of the end. It heralds in the final act and cements in the audience's mind that Erin has started down a dark path that he can't return from and that no one should ever follow.
i disagree with this part "overcoming adversity and triumph", what i see when i hear this song is someone betraying people they got to known as friends up to this point, This song got played when Reiner and Bertholdt betrayed the scouts/island, That is the reason to why this music fits this scene
@@alar_xSeems like you only interpret it that way because of the scene in question you think about when listening to the song. Overall, general interpretations of the lyrics and the message revolves around overcoming challenges and adversities; and facing them head on without giving up - no matter how difficult it may be. Again, this is General interpretation. Perhaps, the director and producers shine a different light on it. However; it definitely isn't just about betrayal. I mean, the song played when Eren's mom got eaten. I highly doubt you thought about betrayal when watching it. So, while I love this song and I wouldn't mind them just shoving it in for the sake of fan service. It doesn't necessarily fit with what the narrative has been leading up too. It's no longer about a black and white world where you're fighting the bad guys. It's about a world desperate for security, peace, and freedom. Where people are just people. The world has become grey. The scene portrays a form of judgement day, Armageddon, the end times, Ragnarok. A prophesied telling of the end of the world. The song really doesn't fit into that narrative.
The fact that they’re were thousands of colossal titans in the walls for all those centuries is absolutely just crazy. I trip on how they’re just in there all that time, and hidden.
