I wanted to say in the last video but didn't, so I'll say it here-bangs were actually made for you. 😂😭 It's so funny how we see ourselves. Also... a video on what you'd like to thrift in 2025 would be fun! 🫶🏼
Love when influencers encourage appreciating what we already own 🩷 My fav thrifts this year: -long wool brown coat w Peter Pan collar -vintage wool Calvin Klein pleated mini skirt -a similar plum sweater to yours! -the perfect black leather shoulder bag w chunky chrome hardware
I discovered a short video on here about how to embroider a fluffy rose it’s easy and im keeping it for when I inevitably stain something I love so I can fix it!
fav secondhand purchases this year: -fleece jacket that looks like it could be a chopova lowena fleece but was $15 -the beatles printed silk boxers from the 80s -burgundy doc martens platform oxfords -silver necklace + charm lots from ebay that i took apart and reassembled into charm necklaces for me and my bestie honestly finding you + other secondhand-focused youtubers was such a treat this year!! it reignited my interest in fashion and helped me further form my own views on what fashion + style should be. wishing you all the best for 2025!!
Your diy at home bang trim looks better than the botched job I got done at a salon so don't worry 🤣🤣 you also have the face shape for this hairstyle and they suit you well you look nice! I'd keep the bangs they suit you you also have a funky eccentric style that it fits
Don't use sharpie, that only works if it's lighter than the fabric. Try putting dish detergent on the stain for at least an hour, then wash. It's weird but it's worked on so many stains for me. 🤞
6:34 You could add a little patch like a little sun icon or heart and just iron it on over the sweater stain. I have a sweater that i love and popped on the patch and it looks great. Amazon has tonnes of little patches that would suit the sweater. There is a daisy flower iron on patch that looks cute on amazon
I was thinking the same thing. A small star or heart applique would fit in with the christmas designs and would look like it was always meant to be there.
The way you talked about the boat neck tops is the way I feel about tailored (looking) trousers on myself. Nothing looked better on me than some good fitting trousers!
I found you and your videos this year! You have inspired me to play with clothes and secondhand pieces (which has allowed me to afford some fun 😁 and trial and error rather than just buying work clothes). Ive found out so much about myself and how it feels to be truly me rather than just how i think the glossy mags say i should present myself. As a result ive got back into going to see lots of live music, gone on holidays to cities, ive wanted to see, even followed up on job opportunities. I think youve been a gateway for so much of that...like your boat neck red and black top was for you!😂❤
As a fine, wavy haired gal with curtain 70s esque bangs myself, I think the issue with the bangs is that they're not thick enough?? If you can go a bit further back and include more hair in them, (the lil triangle shape they'll do at the salon), I think they'd look great!!
The stain on the cardigan looks like an oil stain- try dabbing straight dish soap on it while it's dry, work it into the fibers, let it sit for a bit, and then rinse it. Works like a charm for oil stains 😊
The boat neck top makes so much sense because I feel like that was a very 90s style and goes with your whimsigoth style, like I feel like Buffy wore some tops like that. It looks so good on you! I think my favorite thrift find of 2024 was an online thrifted vintage inspired plaid skirt. At the moment I can't remember the brand, but I get it confused with Scarlet Darkness. Here's to great thrift finds for everyone in 2025!
For the stain, try either westing the spot and applying glycerine, let dry and then hand wash, or wet, apply naphtha soap, let dry, and handwash. Naphtha works so well for getting misc stains out. I sometimes have to repeat a few times to get it to fully lift but it works even if it's been washed and dried a few times.
For the stain you could use shout! It's done wonders for me! As a 90's lover that's why I love your videos because I love that aspect of your style! Great video and thanks for sharing with us
You’ve had some amazing thrift finds this year! Thanks for inspiring me to thrift my clothes; 2024 was the year I really went all in on thrifting, and I’m proud to say I only bought a couple of new clothing items this year (it is really hard for me to thrift jeans, so I buy those new usually). Cheers to 2025!
This is the year when I really went wild for thrifting because I discovered Vinted. I'm in southern Portugal which doesn't have the best thrift stores so discovering such a brilliant online thrift store has pretty much changed everything for me! I've literally changed my entire wardrobe! And I'm so excited about it because it's allowed me to truly find my whimsigoth style. I have so many new favourites!! Love your videos! Happy New Year! x
Favorite things I thrifted this year…a coach tabby crossbody, a brown leather crossbody, Levi’s rib cage jeans, a pair of floral embroidered jeans, & yeah I think that’s it! I’ve lost over 45lbs this past year so I’m excited for all of the thrift finds I’m going to discover in 2025! Shopping (especially secondhand) is definitely easier when you’re no longer plus size. Subscribed since 2020…actually maybe 2019!!! I love you so much, you’ve been here for me through so many milestones in my life. I hope you had a great Christmas & have a happy new year! 🎉
Try stain remover the cardi is new enough that it’ll take it. You can also carefully over sew it with a colour matched cotton or wool. I’ve oversewed small stuff like that myself and it works fine coz it’s so small you won’t notice it!
For the stain on the adorable Pooh sweater. Sharpie would not work to hide that. You could embroider it to look like a Christmas ornament or mistletoe. Or get a Pooh patch or honey pot patch or Christmas present patch or candy cane or mistletoe patch off of Etsy to cover it. There’s tons available and it would be really cute.
Funny enough, I as well, thrifted the same pair of vintage UB overalls in 2024! Annnd, depending on the fabric contents of your Xmas cardigan. To me it looks like an oil spot. You can try using baking soda sprinkled on the spot to draw out the oil. As a precaution place a another piece of fabric or paper towel under the garment so the oil doesn't seep to the back of the cardigan. This is what I would do. Happy 2025 Alexa! :)
Great video. I am a new fan of your channel and I love your vibe. Also, I can't tell the difference between the two Bottega bags, the kislux is close and cute, so that's enough for me. I will bring my friends to buy.
I started watching you this year after you were mentioned in a thrift video from Twinelle ❤️ Love watching your videos because I see a lot of my style in your outfits and it pushes me to try new items out of my comfort zone ❤️ See you in 2025! 😊
I have to agree with every other comment I’m seeing on here. And I swear I wouldn’t even comment if I didn’t feel like it should be said. Your bangs look so good. They really do suit you. But I most definitely understand it’s all about your comfort and how you see yourself! Beautiful no matter what!
It’s funny cause from watching your other videos i would not say we have the same style but our faves are basically the same: that exact length of jorts, overalls, those exact delias oxfords, signature color turtleneck (mine is more of a rusty red). i would also say the high necks tops and the brown trousers as well because i searched all year for them but sadly wasn’t able to get the perfect ones yet. Wish me luck in 2025!!
Oxyclean works great. If you’re gonna use a fabric marker you gotta make sure it’ll dry the same color or if you’re like me, will drive you crazy and make you wish you hadn’t used the marker.
Love your videos Alexa! I've been a longtime watcher and you have totally inspired me to become more open minded when thrifting. That said, I, too have found some "forever" treasures that I may have passed up in the past. ❤❤
I love buying second hand leather footwear for your exact reason with the frye boots... theyre already stretched out! The break in process for learher shoes/boots can be rough. Second hand is where its at.
Ok hear me out: I would love a video of you online thrifting and going through your thought process or looking up certain items, determining quality and determining how or if they would fit into your wardrobe.
Such beautiful finds, Alexa! I found a loose cotton jacket with cute closures on the front and a kaki green paisley pattern, this year, and it’s one of my fav secondhand finds ever!!
I also thrifted so many great things this year! notably, two wool blazers, three midi skirts - I never thought I would be into them, but I was actually partially inspired by you and how style longer skirts.
I feel the same way about that top you showed in a simular style. I found a muscle tank that fit me perfectly this year. Ever since then I know the style that works. I even took some old tees and cut them to mirror that fit.
My favorite thrifted item of the year would be brown suede Nine West pointy toe knee high boots with heel! I still can't believe I found them in Goodwill almost brand new!! I absolutely adore them!
Happy Sunday! Wish I could say sunny Sunday as it’s gloomy today where I live, but I’m sure you will brighten my day! Looking forward to watching the video. 🤗
I think your bangs look great and was excited to see you decided to cut them again! I honestly wouldn’t have known that you cut them yourself if you hadn’t mentioned it! Maybe you would like them better if you look up some styling techniques and practice them? If you haven’t already, I would recommend using a medium sized round brush with metal bristles to blow-dry style them. Here’s what you can do: when your hair is dry, tie or clip it back, and leave out your bangs and face-framing layers…To make this easy, you can just section your hair forward starting at the front or middle of your ears (if you blow-dry your hair after washing, you can clip this section forward before blowdrying to avoid unnecessarily putting additional heat on it).…Re-wet this section of hair, squeeze it in a towel so it’s damp, apply a heat protectant and/or some spritz hairspray with your fingers, use your round brush to direct the hair forward on your scalp and scoop/curl it away from your face, and direct your blowdryer so the air is blowing up and through the round brush…If you have a cool-air setting on your blowdryer, hit your hair with cool air once it’s dry to help set the style- then take down the rest of your hair and comb out the section to reincorporate it. (If you don’t have a cool-air setting, just be sure to wait until your hair has cooled before you comb through it.) 😊 Idea for your Winnie the Pooh sweater- you could find a Winnie the Pooh themed iron-on embroidery patch to cover the stain! Just be sure lay the sweater nice and flat to relax the knit, and make sure the rows are properly aligned before you iron it on, that way the drape of the sweater isn’t compromised by a poorly applied patch. I would not use a green sharpie on the stain, as it would just make the stain darker in this instance because the shade of green in your sweater is lighter than the stain. 😊
Me cleaning out my closet while watching this video. Takes wide leg pinstripe pants to put in pile to give away, *turns around* sees you wearing pinstripe pants looking amazing, *puts pants back in closet*
I would try Zote soap and/or Dawn on the holiday sweater stain -- Dawn especially in case the stain is oil based. I would stay away from the Sharpie because that may just darken the stain and make it more obvious...just my two cents lol.
I found a lot of great things thrifting this year too. The thrift gods just blessed me I guess. I even found a Christmas/ Winter themed demon vest with embroidery at some point. So much of my Pinterest board too.
My favorite items are two handknitted sweaters I got on the same day. The lady at the register wasn't happy to see that they were only 40SEK each.. They usually price stuff like that higher at like 75-200SEK. Also, at the same thrift store, I got the coolest linen dress for 80SEK, same there 😂 Pretty sure they would have wanted to price it at at least 300. (The brand sold similar desses for 2000)
Try baking soda and Dawn dishsoap with hydrogen peroxide, make it into a thick paste, and rub gently into the stain with a soft toothbrush leave overnight and wash the cardigan again it's usually a miracle stain remover good luck.
Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the multicolored polka dots and hope they donât melt on me, lol. But I donât think itâll be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in DA but only use that a few times a year in the spring and summer so I havenât put that much wear and tear into it. I hope I donât see the fraying for a while. Also, Iâm saving up for a kislux . Has your colleague seen the same issues with that size? I donât mind some relaxation in shape but I donât want it to be a puddle either. Thanks for the video!
Vintage corduroy looks so good ( if I'm not mistaken, that's the one carrie got you?) It looks so good, great eye carrie 😊 I want corduroy but there not many vintage clothes in stoke on trent in the UK, I havnt found any good vintage shops around here, I found one place in cornwall that I just know as it grows it will be as good as American thrift stores but I rarely go Cornwall cus it's like 6 hours away 😢 I love cornwall, thankful to be going again next year 😊 but yeh, been stalking Ebay for a good vintage corduroy, fingers crossed I have the perfect one on the way but just hoping the fit is right as its online so I wont know till it gets here next week
Oh my those might be the best looking Frye boots I’ve ever seen!! If you find a serial number please post it cause now I’m definitely on the lookout!! 🫶🏼
Ok hon hot take; I love the bangs but I really want to see you get your roots blended with your blond hair so it can grow out. I think literally everything you wear would look so much better with your natural hair color. Face framing bits look awesome on you and the bangs will look more how you want them once they're a little longer I agree. But yeah, lean into your higher contrast hair color! It matches the darker shades your style is evolving into!!! Pleeeease 💕
Hi Alexa! I think you look great in the chocolate brown corduroy shirt that Carrie thrifted for you! It looks so nice with your blonde hair! I just wanted to say that the shirt came from my Poshmark closet be_mineboutique. I was so excited when Carrie purchased it and wondered who it was for. It was so great to see you open it and now actually wearing it in your video! Happy New Year to you! 🎉💕☀️
I think if you have multiple peices that are nearly the same is fine as long as you do wear them all 😊 if you live in the 3 leather jackets then I dont think it matters. Also your leather jacket collection is amazing, I wish I had more closet space cus I can only fit like 2 of each category, I have 2 and a half standing oak wardrobes, I love the wardrobes but I'd love a walk in closet 😂😂 I just feel I cant buy any more clothes cus of the space which is putting me in a style rut cus I'm not inspired by the practical clothes that take up my wardrobe if that makes any sense. 😊
That leather jacket brand is a great pick! Pelle Cuir is the way to go. I jave that jacket in a trench double breasted style. It looks and feels so good 👍
Don’t use sharpie girlie it’ll make it so much worse! Personally I’ve learned to just live with stains on my clothes as long as they aren’t too crazy, but I also have kids so it’s a constant battle lol. Also the bangs look great!
EVERYONE BE QUIET MY SHOW IS ON
P.S. cute shirt 🤎🤎🤎🤎
Yasss, the thrift queens! 🤗🙌🏼❤️
😂❤❤❤
😂😂😂❤
😊
Its so funny you dont like bangs on yourself when theyre one of the things i associate with your vibe 😆
I wanted to say in the last video but didn't, so I'll say it here-bangs were actually made for you. 😂😭 It's so funny how we see ourselves. Also... a video on what you'd like to thrift in 2025 would be fun! 🫶🏼

My fav thrifts this year:
-long wool brown coat w Peter Pan collar
-vintage wool Calvin Klein pleated mini skirt
-a similar plum sweater to yours!
-the perfect black leather shoulder bag w chunky chrome hardware
Maybe cover the stain with a little snowflake patch or something. 😊
I discovered a short video on here about how to embroider a fluffy rose it’s easy and im keeping it for when I inevitably stain something I love so I can fix it!
fav secondhand purchases this year:
-fleece jacket that looks like it could be a chopova lowena fleece but was $15
-the beatles printed silk boxers from the 80s
-burgundy doc martens platform oxfords
-silver necklace + charm lots from ebay that i took apart and reassembled into charm necklaces for me and my bestie
honestly finding you + other secondhand-focused youtubers was such a treat this year!! it reignited my interest in fashion and helped me further form my own views on what fashion + style should be. wishing you all the best for 2025!!
I think you did a great job on your bangs!!
Your diy at home bang trim looks better than the botched job I got done at a salon so don't worry 🤣🤣 you also have the face shape for this hairstyle and they suit you well you look nice! I'd keep the bangs they suit you you also have a funky eccentric style that it fits
Tbh I think your bangs are SO PRETTY. Your hair is GORGEOUS! 😊
The brown corduroy shirt that Carrie got you! It looks so nice on you!💓
Don't use sharpie, that only works if it's lighter than the fabric. Try putting dish detergent on the stain for at least an hour, then wash. It's weird but it's worked on so many stains for me. 🤞
Or try lemon juice that will at least fade it some.

Alexa, you’re one of the rare few who can rock the bangs!!! I think it’s your hair texture that helps make it work💞
for the high neck 90s tank fit.... try all your shirts and some dresses on backwards! It can also give a cute low back detail
The stain on the cardigan looks like an oil stain- try dabbing straight dish soap on it while it's dry, work it into the fibers, let it sit for a bit, and then rinse it. Works like a charm for oil stains 😊
Thanks!

I am a huge supporter of bangs, go off queen!!! Love them on you
You know it's a good upload when the very first item shown in the teaser is straight fire.
For the stain you could use shout! It's done wonders for me! As a 90's lover that's why I love your videos because I love that aspect of your style! Great video and thanks for sharing with us

You inspired me to thrift a black leather jacket this year and I can’t wait to style it this next spring! Black leather is the perfect cherry on top ✨

You look great with bangs. I personally love them!
I love you in bangs so much lol. Also the boat neck tops fit you so well. I love how ell your style has developed over the years.
06:30 add a tiny mistletoe patch or Christmas light patch on the stain
Funny enough, I as well, thrifted the same pair of vintage UB overalls in 2024! Annnd, depending on the fabric contents of your Xmas cardigan. To me it looks like an oil spot. Dawn dish soap works wonders for me. I’ve gotten every single stain out of my clothes with it 😂😂

i have that minga london shirt too and it’s been one of my absolute favourites for years!! 18:27
Girl! Bangs look so good on you!!!! 🖤🖤🖤

Thank you for your hard work and dedication you are able to give us. Happy new year.
Frye boots 😍
I have been following you for a long time, and you are so fun 🤩
I love buying second hand leather footwear for your exact reason with the frye boots... theyre already stretched out! The break in process for learher shoes/boots can be rough. Second hand is where its at.

You could put a tiny Christmasy applique over the stain.
My favorite thrifted item of the year would be brown suede Nine West pointy toe knee high boots with heel! I still can't believe I found them in Goodwill almost brand new!! I absolutely adore them!
so in love with the leather blazer!!
fels naptha works really well for getting tough stains out of clothes !
You could cover the stain with a little embroidered patch. A Christmas or Disney patch that could be sewn on. 😊
Happy Sunday! Wish I could say sunny Sunday as it’s gloomy today where I live, but I’m sure you will brighten my day! Looking forward to watching the video. 🤗
Love your bangs, you look beautiful ❤️
I think your bangs look great and was excited to see you decided to cut them again! I honestly wouldn’t have known that you cut them yourself if you hadn’t mentioned it! love your videos!! and does your bag have a tag on it? i love all the pockets on yours
I recently learned about the colour theory and I think that the clothes that suit you are fall and summer .Bright colorful and natural ❤
Gurl the bangs are giving ❤❤❤
Me cleaning out my closet while watching this video.
Takes wide leg pinstripe pants to put in pile to give away, *turns around* sees you wearing pinstripe pants looking amazing, *puts pants back in closet*
I've been so obsessed with the minga shirt since you got it, searching for something similar on thredup 👀
Love this video. The coveralls are perfect. 🇨🇦
Alexa Sportin the Brown Pride 😁

WE LOVE FINDING A NEW THRIFTING SUSTAINABLE QUEEEEEN
Try baking soda and Dawn dishsoap with hydrogen peroxide, make it into a thick paste, and rub gently into the stain with a soft toothbrush leave overnight and wash the cardigan again it's usually a miracle stain remover good luck.
Try Totally Awesome spray for the stain!

The bangs were a great move
Vintage corduroy looks so good ( if I'm not mistaken, that's the one carrie got you?) It looks so good, great eye carrie 😊 I want corduroy but there not many vintage clothes in stoke on trent in the UK, I havnt found any good vintage shops around here, I found one place in cornwall that I just know as it grows it will be as good as American thrift stores but I rarely go Cornwall cus it's like 6 hours away 😢 I love cornwall, thankful to be going again next year 😊 but yeh, been stalking Ebay for a good vintage corduroy, fingers crossed I have the perfect one on the way but just hoping the fit is right as its online so I wont know till it gets here next week
ahhh where is the original video where you thrift the minga london red tank top im obsessed
Happy new year 2025
Oh my goodness, I tried to cut curtain bangs on myself in Sept... still waiting for them to grow out more lol
Pleeeease 💕
Omg but where is your current brown button up from
How do the delias shoes fit? Like is sizing accurate
The stain looks like grease so try Dawn dishwashing liquid on it.
It looks and feels so good 👍
Bangs are one of those things that can look great but are always a pain in the butt.
have you tried hydrogen peroxide on the sweater?
Those boots! 😎
Honestly i have way too many jackets for someone who lives in the I.E lol 😂 but they're all so different and they all serve different purposes/styles.
Don’t use sharpie girlie it’ll make it so much worse! Personally I’ve learned to just live with stains on my clothes as long as they aren’t too crazy, but I also have kids so it’s a constant battle lol.
Also the bangs look great!
