Revan came up with ideas that helped shape the future Sith to rule and move and for the Jedi to potentially become greater than ever but their arrogance made them turn a deaf ear. He not only achieved balance he achieved a unique connection to the light side due to his fearless embrace of love. Something that hindered the Jedi and didn’t get fixed until Luke rebuilt the Jedi and allowed them to marry
This flew under my radar so im late but thank you for the upload i recently read the bane trilogy for the first time and it was amazing going on the journey with bane and his knowledge gathering journey.
It's important to consider a significant distinction here. Darth Bane didn't learn from Revan's holocron. He learned from Darth Revan's holocron. He had no instruction from Revan, but from Darth Revan. He didn't respect Revan, he respected Darth Revan.
Bane once again proves that the life a Sith lived prior to joining their order plays a not insignificant role. As a former miner and soldier, Bane appreciates hard work, and people's accomplishments.
Also the advantage of study. Bane was a person who appreciated wisdom as someone with life experience, not an academic or someone who kept books as decorations.
My star wars knowledge is limited when it comes to the books but from all i have seen/ read i definitely agree! Crazy how Zannah fooled the jedi and saved her master shortly after too
@@johnjimenez3600 she used sith sorcery on the jedi to make him hallucinate then she slashed him across the chest, That was wild. The craziest thing about the fight to me though was the fact that johun was such a hindrance to his allies in combat that zannah was successfully using him as a weapon against the jedi, keeping him alive so she isn't overwhelmed by the more skilled jedi.
A strong singular vision of a powerful individual like Revan as compared to the hundreds of other Sith Bane had to deal with was worth respecting. Revan and Malak by themselves almost succeeded in destroying the Jedi and republic whereas Khann and his puppets believe the strength in numbers in all it takes, the Sith were becoming more like the Jedi with their academy's, and far to many lessar Sith trying to become the rulers even though they were not worthy. For the Sith to truly succeed it demanded the strength and unquestionable leadership of a singular vision...Banes..
A welcome surprise to see you uploading again! There's something about your videos that just takes me to a galaxy far, far away and allows me to reexperience a sense of childhood wonder.
I missed you & your Actual Star Wars content, I rarely watch Star Wars channels anymore since they cover Disney BS. Thank you for covering Real Star Wars
Would bane of kept his word to Groshik the bar owner that helped him escape oro that he would make it up to him or would he kill him if needed ? I like to think bane would still be friends with him
In fairness revan didnt realy have a choice in rejoinjng the jedi granted he chose to remain a jedi once he knew the truth but he had returning to the jedi forced apon him
Revan was a colossus who bestride the worlds of both the Jedi and Sith and had a massive impact on both societies. So not at all surprising that Bane, redirected him and was inspired to use his example and lessons to base his rule of two off.
since you don't appear to be active on twitter I'll suggest it here, your most recent upload at time of asking (unless it's already been done): why and how sidious used 2 bland bulky detailless lightsabers against maul and savage rather than any of the quintillion true sith sabers and all their fancy patterns?
Though in someways Bane was wrong to take the “Darth” title for it was relic of the past and only made the serious problem of infighting only worse so in a way Kaan was only half right about title. If anything the Rule of Two Sith would be better off without it.
look Revan was "the shvt" that's basically all there is to it. a proper Sisth Lord and a Jedi Master..... he had 2 light sabers as well and one was PURPLE!!!! need I go on? Revan is a Messi and Ronaldo combined
The dark holocrom exar kun stole from the jedis was far more powerful than revan holocrom had over 100,000 years of sith magic archemy rituals lightsaber skills echani teaching rakatas teaching ect this why exar kun became so powerful in a very short time
I wish you uploaded regularly like you did in the past but I understand life gets in the way! Thanks for still being around
Exactly
Revan was such a gigachad that it was impossible to hate him, unless your name was Malek...
Nah malak loved him by the end lol
You mean a marysue
Even Malek found his insight...jawdropping
@@thewayfarer8849 you win the internet
Vitiate respected him if only as a walking battery
Missed you dude. Glad you’re uploading again.
i am glad your still making expanded universe videos i'm a longtime fan of SW reading Club
:) me 2

Yes Luke's light grey interpretation of the force and Revan's dark grey made more sense than either Jedi or Sith extremes.
The New Jedi Order was so goated
Such good storytelling to have Bane build a stronger Sith order using philosophies of a redeemed Revan
The real canon expert has returned yet again!
IKR!!!
A clear and concise video talking about two of some of the most arguably badass Sith Lords.
Amazing content, as always!

The bane trilogy was awesome. The 5 jedi vs 2 sith on Tython has to be one of the best duels in star wars.

Yay! Another video! This reminds me of when I used to watch an unhealthy amount of Star Wars cintenr as a teen and early 20's
Good to have you back man
Somehow, Star Wars Reading Club returned!
Finally, some real Star Wars content.
Welcome back I missed your videos

I am very happy to see another upload from you
I'm rereading the Darth Bane trilogy now so this video is perfect timing.
I have a job where I can listen to audiobooks as I work and I go back to the Bane trilogy at least once a year.
i also just reread it but stopped probably 50 pages short of completing the last one. Such a good read
Darth bane: look a fancy title
Always enjoy watching your videos man 💯💯
Missed you bro, love your videos
Beautiful work!!! As always
Amazing story! Thank you 🍷
A Gem upload.
A welcome surprise to see you uploading again!

I'm surprised Revan went back after the Jedi wiped his memory and lied to him. Same could be said for the Sith taking over his mind.
I left a like for "the temple of the ancients"!
I missed you & your Actual Star Wars content, I rarely watch Star Wars channels anymore since they cover Disney BS.
Thank you for covering Real Star Wars
He lives!

BACK
Wish you would upload more often than months apart thats my only gripe with this channel still love the content though
Detailed as always Canon Expert. We love your videos always. Thank you!!!
Nicr video and return.
Darth Bane played KOTOR
Huh... Darth Bane was more reasonable than I thought.
since you don't appear to be active on twitter I'll suggest it here, your most recent upload at time of asking (unless it's already been done): why and how sidious used 2 bland bulky detailless lightsabers against maul and savage rather than any of the quintillion true sith sabers and all their fancy patterns?
Hello there
General Kenobi
Comment for the temple of the ancients
In way Darth Bane viewed Revan in similar but more favorable way as the Jedi do with the Lost Twenty.
Though in someways Bane was wrong to take the “Darth” title for it was relic of the past and only made the serious problem of infighting only worse so in a way Kaan was only half right about title. If anything the Rule of Two Sith would be better off without it.
Bane was Revan's biggest fan
How awesome would it be if Disney had Drew Karpyshyn as a writer and we got a Bane show instead of that Acolyte junk.
Disney needs writers like him and James Luceno back in the writers’ room
Finally you're posting. Figured you were frozen in carbonite or, cryo-sleep. Thx for your review!😄
lol xD
Sith in Bane era is like rappers in 2024
Bane respected the BADA** Revan. The weaklings of his era weren't worth the effort to personally deal with
Thank you for keeping the real star wars stories alive man. And by way, fuck the disney corporation.
Comment for the algorithm
Al Gore rhythm
look Revan was "the shvt" that's basically all there is to it. a proper Sisth Lord and a Jedi Master..... he had 2 light sabers as well and one was PURPLE!!!! need I go on? Revan is a Messi and Ronaldo combined
Dave filoni doesn't even know that revan was redeemed and try to bring him to Disney star wars in his clone wars series which George Lucas put a stop
The dark holocrom exar kun stole from the jedis was far more powerful than revan holocrom had over 100,000 years of sith magic archemy rituals lightsaber skills echani teaching rakatas teaching ect this why exar kun became so powerful in a very short time
nice video but bro you been repeating the same thing + 10 times
First😊
Bane's Rule of Two copied 2/3 of Revan's path when he should have went all the way. His books still rock though; worth a read/audiobook.
My man keep up the videos, best stars wars TH-cam out there in my opinion 🤌🏽
