The possibility that Patrick Kane could sign with Detroit this season. Imagine Raymond learning from Patrick Kane. He would be the perfect mentor. DeBrincat Larkin Kane All-American line would be sick.
Kane for depth reminds me of Robitaille in 2002. Having that kind of talent down the line-up is huge. I’m all for it. Injuries will happen so the log jam will sort itself out
if he signs a team friendly/semi team friendly deal im all for it. the only concern i would voice is what rising players does this limit from playing time? berg, rasmussen, veleno, kasper, that i want on ice to develop, but i suppose at worst there is limited downside.
IMO it would hurt the team in the long run. I would like to see DeBrincat develop chemistry with some of the younger players. Where is the benefit of signing Kane for 1-2 years and he is gone.
@@kennethwisneski7858 Like I say in the video, if these young guys are good enough, they WILL play. You're always going to have players you sign for short term deals
Wow a lot of people seem to be overthinking this. If Kane signs Yzerman will get him on a good deal. The thought of him with Larkin and Debrincat should be enough lol
I'm not sure that he would help the Red Wings that much at this stage of his career, but I would be for it if we could sign him for a low enough price.
Wings would benefit having Kane on the roster. Yes, he is a defensive liability. Yes, he was a POS 20yr old that did some bad things. If we want this team to be a competitive team, you go out and get a Patrick Kane. His vision, Hockey IQ, silky mits are all things that can help improve this team and teach to young players like Raymond, Berggren, and even Kasper if and when he makes the jump. We struggled on the PP and thats one area Patty Kane can help out as well.
bushy, dont forget he has played the last two seasons with a very bad hip. he still produced. now that hes healthy he will put up pts. would love him here in the d. he is also clutch playoff time
I agree! I think people get hung up on a surgery making a player "injury prone" but I don't view it that way. He's healthy now, I don't mind if they take a shot at him
I think Christian Fischer would be scratched every other game or so ,and i than I think I would put Raymond on the second line with perron and compher and Kane on first line ,and Jonathan berggren on the 3rd line replacing Raymond even though would still love berggren on the second line cause that’s a good combination with berggren and compher and perron, especially perron and berggren . And put Daniel sprong on the 4th line with Rasmussen and kostin, But I think sprong would be a better combination with Rasmussen any way cause there good goal scorers.and that should be able to keep berggren in the lineup. And I don’t think yzerman is bring up a whole lot of prospects anyway only one i can see would probably be soderblom and he be scratched every other game or so with like kostin along with veleno.
Being a wings fan from London is love to see a 5 million by 3 year contract. Their paying david person 4.75 id prefer kane for the next few years than perron or copp. The ceiling is obviously much higher on Kane and lets remember last year he played the majority with the 3rd worst team.
Yes we will take Kane, and we would also like to add Nylander and Petterson. If they all take a discount we can have a cup in 3 years. Please and thank you.😁
I don't think the wings need Kane . A quick analysis of their scoring and factoring in the new players (conservative estimates) the wings can go from 230 goals to anywhere from 279 to 290 goals. That puts them up there with Tampa, Florida, Buffalo, and Ottawa may struggle to get there if tarasenko doesn't perform. Unless I am missing something in the math (?) Kane doesn't bring a significant advantage to spend the money. Just sayin'
@@HealthyScratchRedWingsReport I wouldn’t be surprised if they signed him and then flipped him at the deadline to a team like Edmonton who has been linked to him, but can’t afford him do the Reasons
Is there any way he can be given a tryout first? While I don't deny his past talent, I think he should prove that his operation hasn't hindered his speed, or restricted his moves. That said, a productive Patrick Kane will be a welcome asset. In addition to what's been discussed, he was also effective in the shootout over most of his career, scoring 70% as recently as the 2019-2020 season. That's dropped since then, though.
He can sign a PTO with a team, but I doubt that will happen for a player of his pedigree. I have a feeling that surgery actually helped him move better so I think on a one year deal it's worth it
Chelios was a Blackhawk too and is one of the best acquisitions in Red Wings history. Granted the Hawks screwed him in trading him to Detroit but it definitely worked out. As for a Ken Holland signing that would be if he gets a 4 year deal with a no trade clause. If we’re gonna go for Kane make it a 1-2 year deal at the most and worst case scenario if Detroit is out of a playoff spot by the deadline, then move him.
