Very Nice. I had a 1760cc Mk2 with forest arches in the late 80's that I absolutely loved even though it was rusting away underneath. Used to give Sierra Cosworths a run for their money on the right road!

Great series where we can see trash becoming gold. My dad had an Escort 1300GT when I was a kid, and it had rust already being only 6 or 7 years old, so I can understand how they manage to get the way yours was.

Just goes to show you that a old car with a decent engine and gear box with none of the crap our modern cars now come with can get done the road with less HP. Hi Really enjoyed your rebuild and the end result of a stunning Mk 1. Have own many fords,1600e/3 Litre capris/Xr2s but never an Escort. The Mk1 RS always in my opinion looked the more muscle car of the range. If you were to raffle it I would by a hundred tickets. Looking forward to watching more. 👍🏿
I would love that car. I had a Mk2 4 door back in early 90s but always preferred the shape of the 2 door Mk1(especially with the forest arches). The gold minilites and the blue and white stripes are awesome. I'd personally remove the chin spoiler as I feel it doesn't need it but otherwise what a build.

I gotta draggy in the future if you ever wanna use it can have the 0-60 filmed and timing on screen at same time, i would say 100-200 kmph as well but i don't think you've got anything that does that ;)
