As someone with light rosacea who has done an equally light amount of camera work, I can attest that the camera adds a LOT of contrast on flare-up days, and it can get better or worse depending on how you white-balance and treat it, etc. She's almost certainly okay! Possibly mildly discomforted, but usually the only harm it ever did me was make me feel self-conscious.
I used to love RPG-y choose your adventure books as a kid. It's a bit unfortunate that those have fallen out of favor, but on the other hand they have been replaced of sorts by video games, albeit in a slightly different form - the choices and successes/failures in games don't really require you to flip to a specific page on a book anymore, but you could totally imagine, say, RDR2 to have a book-like interface... Although, RDR2 as a choose your own adventure book would be, like, thousands and thousands of pages long.
Even as a teen I started to notice that a lot of CYOA books had awkward writing. It wasn't just that they had silly stories, but some of them had forks that were fundamentally incompatible with one another. When I started learning writing I realized that it's actually a lot more work to write a 100 page CYOA book than a 100 page book that's read straight through.
Bowie pin for the win, Meehan! When ever my kiddo gets to where he wants to play games with us for a prolonged period of time, this is top of the list.
hearing Johnny express optimism makes me feel like I opened a portal into a parallel universe
Johnny as a player! Not enough of that.
I can only hope for a full rendition of dance magic dance sometime in this playthrough
Almost two hours (counting part 2) of an RPG set in the world of one of my favourite movies?! Thank you Dicebreaker.
Johnny's 'wide-eyed pure-of-heart character played by a child actor' - voice makes me so happy
Oh god that minotaur joke.
Alex should GM more often 😀
Alex as gm and johnny as player...
"How can you percieve the depths of flavour"
Me, listening to Johnny describe his character: "Hey, this sounds like Labyrinth!"
Meehan: "It's based on Labyrinth..."
Me: "Heyyyy..." 😎😎😎😎😎
I get the impression that Wheels and Johnny are perhaps taking some sanity hits by the end of this one...
I genuinely want to watch the movie of this adventure. We've found new Jareth, but I knew that as soon as I clocked the eye shadow.
Just purchased a copy of this. Remembering this video I came back to watch it again 😃
Hmmm 🤔 “ looks at you suggestively “. Is it possible for David Bowie not to look Suggestively ?
I'm so happy this is being continued - a really cool concept for a game and a hilarious execution ^^
As someone from the states, I'm glad this video has confirmed my assumption that this level of whimsical banter has always been standard for Brits.
I just watched Labyrinth for the first time, and now I understand where Meehan gets at least 80% of her energy
This run through is better than the makers.
Now I want "I dedicate this quest to you!" on a t-shirt 😆
I saw questing beasts review on this yesterday and immediately started to bug my friends about my 'birthday'.
Tim got a hell of an upgrade, didn't he? 😋
I like Tim more tbh
Maybe this is Tim's backstory! Oh, the poor boy....from magnificent king to swamp-dwelling hermit...
The King is way to big for this isn't he?
You don't know what Tim's hiding in his rags
Peebles gives me life.
Lol @ Wheels cracking himself up
as a child of the 70's and 80's, i must wonder how did blue eyeshadow come back into fashion
Depth of flavor.....Johnny is the best!
Helpful. Charming. Nicely done. Thank you.
19:35 A portal to the blender dimension? The oldest trick in the book...
okay this is a masterpiece
As a bisexual man I just have to say, David Bowie in the labyrinth gave me a lot of confusing feelings as a small child
He confused us all, my friend
I bet!
I swear david bowie literally made me develop something after watching the movie
Am I the only one distracted by the fact that Meehan actually does have tiny fangs?
_watches the first 9 minutes and concludes that Jereth, the Goblin King, is being portrayed by Katharine Hepburn_ =)
Do the rules allow for a PC to be a Sarah-like human character or are all the classes meant to be native Henson-Froudian creatures?
Because of your playthru I went out and bought the book from my local game store, so I can answer my own question: yes.
Great run through guys. I had the goal of a Nintendo switch turning into an Atari.
This game reminds me of the babe.
What babe?
The babe with the power!
What power?
@@7socom7 The power of voodoo!
Who do?
Great t-shirt, Johnny!
I love this game already. I hope it comes out in the UK soon.
I love her accent.
I can listen to GB people say "scenario" all day
Twinkle twinkle ladle star...
At least there isn't any Frog Eye in this version. 9:11 oh well nevermind.
I love this movie so much but major sadness that I cant pre-order this game :(
See you tomorrow @dicebreaker
Can it play as a solo game, like a choose our own adventure game?
Not really, the book is set up so all info for each encounter is on a two-page spread, so the answers to each puzzle would be in front of you.
It's tim The gobbo!!!
Im hosting mine tommorrow over skype.. had to tweek it a bit for doing it online.. Props.. wig and bulge ready..
Oh my gosh, is Alex alright? Is that a sunburn, or a skin reaction of some kind?

Whenever Alex M shows up the video just shoots up my watch list.

Fighting Fantasy sounds like it's right up your street.
Inkle's Sorcery series (based on the Steven Jackson books) and 80 days are very good video game versions of the adventure book genre

Fabled lands is fantastic. You should try get hold of some of them mate :)
