Rootes Heritage Day 2022

This video features the cars and owners that attended Rootes Heritage Day at The British Car Museum Gaydon on 17th July 2022. (Apologies for some intrusive wind noise in some outside interview clips but this is a very exposed location!)
Some fantastic cars were present, when were there last two Sunbeam Venezias together or such an outstanding 1934 Singer?
Thank you to The British Motor Museum Gaydon for allowing us to film. If you like cars but have never visited this venue, you should make a point of going. It is a first class museum and regularly stages special events, theme days etc.

Bob, They are all Rootes vehicles and all have a unique story to tell. It is great to see so many in regular use today.

Interesting show, having learnt to drive and pass my test on a Hilman Minx, and having owned a Humber Super Snipe, Hillman Super Minx, and a Sunbeam Alpine, and rally crossed against those mighty Hillman Imps, I have a deep fondness for the Rootes brand. Would love to find an Alpine....

Ray, there are plenty out there waiting to be found. If you join the owners club there are a number of very nice cars in all sorts of different conditions advertised in the classifieds.

Howard you are right there were a lot of Rapiers there of all types. When I was filming the cars with their owners I needed people to be with their cars AND to be happy to be filmed. I tried to get all the cars featured on the walk around though. Maybe next time I’ll be able to get more footage of Rapiers. Best Wishes.
