The only problem I have with this set is the price. I know Lego uses smaller pieces for details but this just doesn't look like 160$ set. I think 120$ (at max) would be more reasonable
Fig selection(not including cal) and set details definitely seem like a fine price at 160. If people are gonna complain about prices, how about a complaint about the cost of living.

Definitely Bricklinking that Cal figure when I get the chance- Survivor is my favourite Star Wars media but I don't need the whole set, saving my money for the far far superior Milano
Honestly, for your money you could take this set and use it for parts to build the 2014 set with extra parts. The difference in length is killer visually.

As for Cal Kestis he looks great. I hope his hair is a darker orange like we saw in the 25th anniversary video uploaded by Lego. I see people complaining about him not having his poncho, but in the video he didn’t have it so it’s not a huge deal I guess. At least it’s consistent. But yea they should’ve added more minifigures. If they added 2 more stormtroopers, that would have made this set soo much better.

The ship is WAY too small. The nose of the ship is entirely too short. Look on the front of the box art at the other star destroyers in proper scale and then look at the Lego version. It's really out-of scale. Oooo I'm bummed wow.
I would rather pay more to have a larger star destroyer like the 2014 one than pay the same price in 2024 for a smaller set. I really want to like this set but it is WAY to scaled back, good design tho for its size.

Why would it include bd-1 if it's a Original trilogy set? Only Cal is the anniversary fig, no set has 2 anniversary figs... You have some good arguments, but most are just wtf... You are comparing licensed set with a non licensed set, duh of course star wars is pricy, although it should have been around the gunship price at least
It ain’t bad. However, the last Lego Star Wars set I got that I was absolutely ecstatic for was the AT-TE from August 2022. That set is perfect to me. It has the perfect amount of clones, plus some battle droids. To me 7 Mini-figures for that set are absolutely perfect. However, this set is $20 dollars more than the AT-TE. 7 Minifigs in that set makes sense because it’s a Clone Trooper Set and that amount of minifigs do the job perfectly. However one single storm trooper in a storm trooper set does not cut it. This is a Capital Ship. We should have gotten 10 minifigs with the 3 additional minifigs being storm troopers. Also the imperial heavy trooper should have been a storm trooper with the rifle and either a Pauldron or a backpack.
I don't mind the size. Much. For me that's actually a good thing, as I've pretty much run out of space. I don't have an imperial Star Destroyer yet. I do have the First Order one and the Light Cruiser and I'm curious to see them all side by side. Yes, they won't be in scale with one another but then again, neither are they with my X-Wings. These are toys, and if the decreased size results in increased sturdiness, then I'm all for it. What I won't pay is the full price so I'll wait for a discount, as I always do. But that is a given with Lego.
I personally don’t mind if Lego remake with the same functions as the last playscale version, but at least retain the model same size. I mean compare this to the 2014 and the 2006 versions, this new version look like a midi scale set, sick n tired of Lego keep on downsizing the model.
counting the amount of studs on the side panels of this one compared to the 2014 one, this one is 9 studs shorter at 52 studs long compared to 2014s 61 studs long ;-; (still gonna get it bc i need one for my imperial army)
I want thrawns Star destroyer also and I do see it happening down the line maybe but not for a fair few years 2 or 3 at least. Acolyte sets might or might not be coming thats all I will say
I am a bit disappointed but honestly I am glad that they have made a new star destroyer it has been to long but I do agree that there is not much space I will probably when I get this set change the bridge area into a different room or a sleeping area for the crew or stormtroopers

If it weren't for the misinformation of the leaks, then the set would've had a good reception, because it still had some flaws... But now everyone is raging for stupid inflated reasons just because their misguided expectations

If I do get this set, I may just add some extra bits after building it. That way, I'll had made this into a Victory-I class Star Destroyer.

The size of the set doesn’t matter what matters is the detailing in the back and on the top of the ship said I think it’s a perfect sized display set
I do agree it does look very good on the outside but sadly the reduced size only effects the inside and it can really be seen
