Wth, is that Darth Vader holding the camera?
That is. So amazing. Never saw such a good demonstration on the Wacom Cintiq.
I always try to draw manga. But i really suck. I don't know.. If i only could make something that inspiring one day.. Would be amazing. I just don't know where to start on how to improve.
dont let your DREAMS BE DREAMS. START BY COPYING EVERYBODYS WORK BUT IF YOU POST THEM CREDIT THEM AND JUST STUDY THE SHAPES AND STUFF
Does that work?
Good taste with that Persona 3 music man, and nice work. (As usual ;3)
are you still using this item? and how does it hold up today in 2016?
Thank you!
Really nice stuff! But if you truly wanted to practice drawing, you can do everything he did in this video on a piece of paper using a cheap pen or marker.
Fuck it, yes drawing in a monitor makes people poor in Afrika, how bad I feel. please give me a break why won't you write something like this to a big corporation polluting the sky and water? a little Wacom tablet the destroyer of worlds! I'll make a movie out of that.
Oh nice and it's only 1.800€ :D
guess I'll by a pack of pencils instead. xD
do you think is paper only? what about oils paint, airbrushes, colored pencils, watercolor and many other mediums? put 3 years of that's painting constantly and it will be more than 2000$ for sure, that's if you're a real artist. if you like to doodle then get a sketchbook for 10$ and the pencil 2$
i really want this so badly !! :'(
@Lauritheartist well yes it's a stupid question, but yeah you need a computer to run the software like photoshop or painter, a Wacom is a monitor with pressure sensitive screen nothing else.
P3 FES FTW!!!!
~stay high~ ;)
never used Manga studio, So far I'm able to do pretty much everything I want in Photoshop and Painter.
Oh man, you make me so jealous!
4.ooo $ USD? it's 2000 or less, now that new models are out.
I cried... Cant believe it, 19 years old and crying over this.
All of it reminded me of my life...
I guess its because one my dreams is to get one and actually use it. And I won't be able to. I really like art (but my parents don't give me any support for it because in my country going for art career is much harder than any other place so they will make me study medicine just because of the money😭...)
At least i have my ipad(not mine actually i took control of it after my brother left it begind) and i draw on procreate(hacked cause i cant buy it) when i can, but sooner or later it will ruin. It has 3 years already wont last longer. And all I will have is paper and pencil again. I don't even have colors anymore. The last color pencils, and other art materials were given by my cousin on my birthday like 3 years ago. i loved and treasured the gift until i used them up.
I guess money really is something good. I can barely afford for stuff. For those who really have the opportunity to get this kind of stuff and improve your skill don't waste it. Cause just like me maybe some others would also like to have the same opportunities you have.
+Johan Echeverria oh man Iam sorry to hear that but just dont give up and always draw !
+The Louis ill try harder everyday and keep my forehead looking at the horizon for the future... Hoping it changes someday and i get to do what i really love which is art.
Alot of us just have regular careers and just do art teach ourselves on our own time. Going to artschool is kinda just a money sink anyway.
A pencil, paper and the vast resources of art tutorials on the internet is all you need to get good. A Cintiq won't magically give you better drawing skills. They aren't even a requirement for a digital art professional - regular Wacom tablets work just fine.
Yea sir but theres always a limit to what you can do with what you have... cintiq want improve your art but would help you learn other skills other than paper and pencil.
Regular wacoms are still a lot of $$$
bought it in an actual store in Japan in Yodobashi camera.
Pretty lazy of you , Google it! IT 's INTERNET USE IT!!!!!
I wouldn't do that, a black hole would could be created.
si tu crees que 3 años despues del video aun la tengo si aja.
it was a girl and i think she was sick at the time...
Might be because I'm from Latin America ? :D
I don't know you figure that yourself....
yes it could be the brand you want.
Very impressive! What a talent - keep on drawing.
Dude for the first time in 5 years you have made me want to start drawing again. Thankyou so much.
buy 2000 $ in paper is waste.
I don't understand that too.
feels better and accurate.
I still have/use a 21UX from 2005!(now 2020)
that's what she said.
yes
remove that background music, it's hard to hear you. sorry
When he said that the small tablet was and IS still great, that was reassuring. I'm going to be getting my first Wacom tablet (the cheap ol' 4x6 bamboo), an upgrade from my previous, more expensive, super-crappy generic-brand tablet. This is so beautiful and inspiring. *manly tear*
Buuuut until I decide to take this hobby to the next level, the 4x6" will do. :)
Dude they're all over the internet.
Ebay, gumtree, amazon. Do the research.
4:12 Nice pen spinning xP Love the videos man and i look up to you as an artist, your art is beautiful, love it !
I don;t know those artists even know :D
you have to install the drivers
I remember wanted this ever since I was in high school. I didn't think about it again until my old tablet finally broke. The first thing I'm going to do when it arrives is sleep with the box. So beautiful. ๏_๏
Who was holding the camera, your grandma' ?
Vay be :) tepki süresi değişiyor mu farklı cihazlarda ?
That one guy who is filming, a
ll I could think was; *heavy breathing*
I think i'm late
@kdluver93 tablets like this one here are essentially just computer monitors you can draw on. you still need to connect them to a computer. the reason you don't see anyone using other programs is because theyre using the cintiq as a second monitor (dual screened)
now if you want a tablet that is its own functioning computer, there's things like the asus ep121, which i own. it's not as powerful for drawing but it is a fully functional windows 7 touch capable computer that you can draw on.
Omg this is a beauty. I've recently just started with Design and Illustration. Currently I am using Black Ink (it's on Steam) and I love it, but I am not very good at it since I am using a mouse and at some parts it's kinda frustrating because I know I am alot better with pen and paper. I would LOVE to have the latest Wacom tablet/pad and become better. Too bad I don't have money right now.
are Cintiq 21ux still viable to use today. Ive used a intuos 4 (medium) for a while but always wanted a Cintiq. Since they have been out for a while I see them at 400-700.. Would it be good for my first or should I get a cintiq 13hd
Thanks! I always wondered about tablets like that cuz to me they do seem like they'd be able to store pictures and stuff and I just wanted to ask someone who'd really know. Haha thanks for being so nice lol
This might be a stupid question, but to use that tablet, does it only work if your computer is on? Like can you use it when you don't have your computer or something? sorry if that's a stupid question lol
Ya me la puedes regalar a mi!, pasaron ya 3 años :D
I know this vid is old but are you by any chance influenced by the art of Camilla d Errico? This reminds me alot of it.. well the drawing you did kinda near the end with the skull helmet :)
How this works? It's like an aditional monitor?
Gettin mine in the mail tomorrow. Anyone know if this comes with its own painting version of software or do you use what your desktop already has installed like regular paint?
How much does this tablet cost? I was looking for it at amazon US, but amazon itself does not sell it new. Thanks for this video. I just wonder if the new Windows 8.1 touch screen will work as well as this tablet with the appropriate software.
Rieq how are you fam?...my name is George I follow you on face book..I have a question..How can I learn how to use the Cintiq ..I would like to step my game up and it seems as though this is the way..i just don't understand the path..I don't know how to use adobe, or any of those things..what can you tell me that could get me started.
I just found one of these in the recycle bin. Someone dropped it on its side and broke some internal screw mounts, but it turns on and works great. I found your video looking for a reference on if this was worth repairing....I would say it is! Great art btw! :)
The market is saturated with stylus' but LYNKtec consistently puts out the best ones. Their newest one, the Apex Rechargeable, takes everything great about the Apex but takes out the batteries and makes it so you can recharge it. They also listened to customer feedback on what was and wasn't working which is something I love to see companies do! Another favorite.
i thought you were drawing Nel from bleach :P
What's the background music? :)
That looks really amazing! and I love the fact that he first looked like a girl and then like a guy =P You work so fast! o.0
Hey :) Is the 21UX usefull today anymore ore should I buy a 13hd?
Hi Reiq - I was just wondering how you set your cintiq up like this? It seems you still have your macbook as the primary screen, and showing only photoshop on the cintiq... but how do you achieve this? I seem to only be able to open photoshop on my cintiq when it's used as the primary screen, and cannot open it the way you do without the programs-bar still showing on the downside. Thanks in advance!
I know its been a long time since you posted, and this is just my opinion:
1. Having your paper for drawing/painting at a angle is normal especially if you used easels for more than a couple of hours at one go ( you also get used to the standing and having your arms in the air for long periods of time )
2. It feels more or less like your drawing on paper ( as you have your hand and "pencil" in view at all times)
3. And yes i agree to your point of not needing it to make art.
i thought this would be superior to a no screen tablet...boy was i wrong! drawing verticle sucks, sure you can adjust the screen but its still at an awkward angle...plus its bulky as ever! my intuos 4 tablet is super thin and easy to move to the side when i am done. doesnt take long at all to get used too either. Intuos 4 is battery free while still being wireless xD You dont need a 2000 dollar tablet to make amazing art trust me :D btw awesome drawing =P
Yeah, I've heard that the 12WX has some lag at the edges of the screen, making it hard to press certain buttons. I'd really like to be able to actually turn the actual tablet rather then just turning the canvas and I get that with both 12WX and the 21UX which is really neat and convenient. Working directly on screen would speed up my working pace enormously as well. At the moment, I work faster with pen and paper, lol
Ah, I am so excited for you as well, but I would suggest getting something better if you're gonna be serious about it though, cause bamboos are not exactly the best kind of tablet...I would know, I have one and I've had it for almost two years now...it still works really great, but it is NO WHERE even close to a Cintiq or an Intuos. But I am happy for you if you just got the bamboo for a hobby tablet, and I hope it works out! :D
you can solve the dodgey camera handeling with no cost, thoe ti takes knowledge of camera control and vission and know how of use them,
one easy way to learn it is to filla glass with water to the brim or a regular food plate with water and move around with it and avoid spilling, for smalest vibration on a plate for isntance will make it slosh ower instantly and that is what happens in a camera as smalest vibration form the hand amplefies in the vission of the camera.
Hi everyone and I have a question and anyone who can help can answer this question. I want to know what is better for doing animation coloring and drawing on the computer in photoshop or anyother animation program. I have a wacom bamboo tablet, but I have seen wacom Intruos 4 and the new 5 tablets as well as the Cintiq. Which would be better for me to have to doing coloring and drawing animation on the computer and for a good price? I am real serious about cartoons and being a pro in anime.
sorry for all the comments! my computer is stupid! anyway... not long ago i started to draw (or try to draw) with a tablet, but i seem to be really bad at it.. the thing is, i don't have anywhere to learn from how to use it, and it's really hard to find good tutorials... i thought, if u could, maybe, make some tutorials, just to show the basics, i would be greatfull forever! i really want to progress, and next year i'm going to start learning animation so i want to know the basics at least..
I have a question maybe you can assist me with. I noticed you have a slight lag when you draw on the Cintiq. I was wondering if it's dependent on the computer its self that you are using or if it would be like that on ALL computers. (Or maybe it's Cintiq lag?) I am wondering if it can be 'set' to feel more real like you are drawing pencil to paper, instead of drawing 'invisible lines' to see them show up 1 second later.. Sorry for the long question!!
Well i was planning on buying a wacom Bamboo pen and touch for making it easier with photoshop. But now since i just figured out that you can actually download photoshop on this Cintiq, I am considering it. Any ideas guy on what i should do? Oh and one more thing, since this has a screen for drawing can you still navugate on other programs like maybe just browsing on the Internet like you would with bamboo? I really don't think so. Thanks guys :D
Ok I have a question. I watched the video and am wondering if there is a slight lag between the time when you draw a line on the screen and when it shows up. I bought a touch sensitive monitor (an Acer T231H 23 inches!!!) for just over 300 dollars that seems to do the same thing as your Wacom Cintiqux. Unfortunately for some reason I get lag with my screen. If anyone is interested I bought what I have at Frys electronics.
Any help fixing my lag problem would be great. Thanks
I've never used a tablet pc before but ive been wanting one for a while now and there is just one question that ive been needing answered..do the tablets work like any other laptop or computer? like serfing through the internet or downloading softwares(not related to drawing but any software)or just the windows itself? is it like any other computer and u just open up photoshop or other softwares to draw or edit photos? all the video reviews seem to only show the drawing part so im a bit confused
@MrSniffles14 :) when I first got a tablet, I was given one Intous4 medium or small tablet not sure which, but I used youtube.. lol xD that doesn't help much.. Search things like How to draw in photoshop or how to draw things like drawings (don't judge if its in a different format like paper or in a program you don't have) because you can still learn from others who use different media.
@reiqws Hello reiqws, Very beautiful drawings. But I was wondering if you still have the old wacom and still interested in selling it. If not do you know of a good reliable site I could buy a Tablet that I can see what im drawing on the tablet. (doesnt have to be a wacom). I want to get into drawing digital art thats animated. Ive been doing it the old disney style. Paper, picture, line draw, and color it with a laptop mouse haha xD
I like your accent. I would love to guess where you are from, but I will get that wrong for sure. Nice tablet!!! Nice video!
Woah man! that's some mad awesome stuff you just bought! Btw, your work is simply brilliant. Trully talent right here. I just bought a small and basic wacom bamboo to start on this, and would be cool if I could see some how-to or some stuff on Sketchbook Pro too! Have any tips to them noobs that just started on this "digital drawing" world? Cheers man :) Sub+Like!
this video is so helpful :D
i couldnt decide on which tablet to get: bamboo splash, bamboo create, one of the intuos, or the cintiq and i couldnt really find any videos confirming the tablet the person used to draw manga, since thats what im planning to use it for. QwQ now i know i want the cintiq..but ill do more research just incase....
I have one of these at work and a normal tablet at home, both have pros and cons. The cons with this is it heats up, after a while you hand can feel the heat. Also it can wreck your shoulders working on this for hours on end (even with breaks) BUT if I had to choose between this and a normal tablet, I would choose this one everytime.
Did it feel like to you at all the pen lagged a little behind when you were drawing?
And I noticed that you were using the eraser, I'm figuring that actually worked :D I think my crappy cheapo tablet of 5 years has an option to do that too but I never figured out how to work it properly other than it just being a nuisance.
Great work by the way! Thanks for sharing :)
man i wish i had the money to buy one i have a bamboo tablet but the connection between the pad and on screen is to weird and it causes issues for me to draw. though i wish i had his skill more than anything i think i try to hard and don't take enough time to draw things out nicely im always rushing it seems
@jasoncummings2000 if im not wrong, im new on drawing tablets or however you call it, but this "lag" is a problem about the RAM memory when i started drawing i had the same problem, my pc is quite old (core i5, 3gb ram, nvidia geforce 9400 gt) i just bought some RAM and it works propertly, hope to be helpfull
@jstark069 i can sometimes do that but randomly when i want to doodle an anime eye or something the image of a good eye will flash and then i wont be able to remember that eye, or any other different eyes...lol but i guess ill learn to controll my memory at a greater proficiency soon since im only 14 now
God your so lucky,,,,,I'm so jelous, I have sooo many talents but the one thing ive wanted more than anything, truly was to be an outstanding artist like yourself, i would give anything to just simply draw something as epic as you did in a matter of minutes/hours etc. but unfortunately your type of drawing is natural born >:,(
hey... your work is quite astonashing, i follow on deviantart... i want an advice (i've played a bit with a wacom intuos3 and i think i can manage but for the moment i cannot afford a cintiq)... what would be your advice for a novice with a tablet, what would you recommend for starters? thanks in advance
Yo i have a question. Basically when I see you sketching on it e.g 6:43 it looks like there is some lag input? Is there a delay? Because I don't want to make a line and then have to wait a second for it to appear I was hoping it is instant soon as it's on there. So have yo sped up the video? Or is there actually "lag" when you are drawing?
I doubt it's eco-friendly, let's just say easier on you... now you don't use paper and then throw it out, you rather have it burned in a distant place for you to have electricity... and i suspect more "paper" burns now, than what you would have thrown away otherwise.
DUDE that's well i cant say
let me just say this keep on drawing and you get better
if you get a complement your brain takes that as a reward
and then you just stop at were your at keep on drawing and you might just draw a real person one day! so your not there yet but keep on drawing!!!!!!
Is it possible to draw like this with a regular tablet, im good on paper but struggle with the regular tablet, I was thinking of buying one of those tablets you have but don't have the money right now, do you think its worth it? And you said you was doing a giveaway for your old tablet, How can I enter?
Get that man a tripod! Dear lord my head feels like its in a tumble-drier. D:
I would absolutely love a Cintiq, not fussy about which size, I'd just love to have a tablet where I can see what I'm drawing onto. Plus of course the amazing levels of pressure sensitivity!
Is the drawing right in time with your wrist and movements? just seems like there is a delay in it from what I see, or this may just be the video. I was thinking of buying one, but wanted to make sure it was simply another screen and easily used in PS that and in time with hand motions.
nice soundtrack at the beginning
:3 Persona 4
since 2010 you inspire me with this vídeo and this art. now i ser the helmet is too big for the head but excluding this, all is perfect.
... your channel has uploaded videos of you producing 3d designs in zbrush and other programs, as well as playing computer games. Why the hell are you whining about someone buying an expensive piece of technology? Sad world we live in indeed.
i ment, if you do buy paper for 2000$ then it would be atleast 10000$ if you want to use different collours, pens and stuff like that :P so in many ways it would be more profitable and better for the nature with buying an cintiq 21ux ;P no offence ment.
Nice drawing but eco-friendly you said !! Paper is, not a device working with a battery you need to recharge many times using electricity. for 1 drawing,1 paper will cost and take much less energy to work than this pad, though I'd like one.
I heard that you have to connect the cintiq to a laptop/desktop in order to use it and if you use it for too long in one sitting then it can burn up your graphics card. How can that be prevented and while using the cintiq for a hours in one sitting?
good news, you can do almost exactly the same with a usual tablet which costs only a fraction of a cintiq. I am not complaining. Just saying that some of the best and professional digital art is done quite often by a simple 80$ tablet
LMAO good one dude. I mean I have just the Wacom bamboo and it's alright but I draw better in sketchbooks, and having a Cintiq would greatly help me improve greater in digital art. BUT my little bamboo will always hold a special place in my heart
i need help with my brushes. idk what brush size or hardness or whatever to make good sketches without, ya know, making it look all digital. i cant get a good sketch without it dissapointing me and can never make a final lineart drawing
I know this is a 2 year old video but damn! I'm gonna save money to get one of those!
By the way, did you sell your old model? XD
If you have it name a I price and I'll think about it!
By theway, awesome drawings! Keep it up!
