Nobody talks about this, but I personally love the health bars. I know it's a minor detail, but it's always my favorite thing to see a personalized character health bar in videogames, instead of just big red bar.
What I love the about the health bar in this game is so detailed like for example remember when venom where fighting on the roof when they where on the class trip? The health bar goes down when Peter headaches keeps getting worse. That was nice touch
My favorite part of this game was that after beating the game you unlock Venom to free roam in the open world, and you were free to rampage at your hearts content, and the game would become a sort of horde survival game since the more damage cause the more difficult enemies would spawn, ending with shield agents and the helicarrier spawning in the sky to stop you.
Silver Sable is super human. Not exactly on Spider-Mans level, more like just over peak human. But she's incredibly skilled. Peter has very little skill in the time this game takes place, so it makes sense that Silver Sable is able to match him.
Sable is actually just peak human. Above peak is enhanced. And superhuman is more like Peter’s level. But true, Sable is a better fighter so she’s able to keep up somehow.
One last thing. I remember I always tried so hard so get to Statue of Liberty...and ALWAYS FAILED😭. They need to bring back that Double Jump feature cause it was CLUTCH in this game
Happy to see you liked the game in the end even with its more iffy parts. Nostalgia definitely plays some part in my enjoyment, so it's nice to see people with no prior experience enjoy it even with the newer (and in all honesty superior) games being out. This'll always be my favorite regardless. My three favorite parts of the game: #3 - Electro fight. Probably a controversial pick. The chase is tedious, but I can't deny that the fight itself does something to my ape brain. I think it's the combination of Electro being a pretty enjoyable enemy, him attacking Spidey keeping me on my toes and the signs taking my attention away from Electro, thus giving him the chance to attack Spidey. Like on my most recent playthrough, I decided to take out all the signs immediately, even before he transforms (the sign he uses to transform is obviously unbreakable). That gave Electro the time to deal some damage to Spidey and got me my heart racing ever so slightly. Any boss that does that has done something right, at least in my book. #2 - Carnage fight. The Electro fight was a decent boss elevated by extra mechanics. The Carnage fight is just a great boss on its own, simple as that. Venom vs Carnage is always hype, and the fact that you can do the back-breaker on him just adds a bit of extra spice. #1 - Spidey's races/chases. I don't really mean the timed races, I mean the races against Johnny Storm. Again, the chases in this game are a bit tedious, but I can't deny that they're great at making me feel really satisfied with how good I am at web-swinging. Like getting ahead of Venom again and again in the final chase just to beat on him a bit (even though he's invulnerable during the chase). Or basically doing the same to Beetle, who you can actually stagger if you reach him in the chase. Then the races with Johnny are just another way of proving how good you are at swinging, not to mention that you get rewarded with speed boosts.
The cut scene where Peter meets beatle at first had me dying at first. Everything about this game was great, however YOU NEED TO REPLAY IT FOR THE WALL ATTACKS. Not quite let the PlayStation Spider-Man one, but the one for PlayStation got that idea from this game it’s me that’s how much you can wall bounce off of anything, especially in an alleyway

Also this Spiderman is funnier than the other gaming ones. Fun fact, this Spiderman is the one that died in Miles Morales comics. This game needs a remaster and a sequel

Marvel just need to stop playing and give her powers already cause she was NEVER built like this, cool design though and she has this cool team she leads that has people with ACTUAL Superpowers😂. She also had a Crush on Peter and kissed him but it never went anywhere cause she "died". Her character is so weird I swear💀. But I wanna see her used more can't even lie...without the incincivbility BS tho. Her best design imo ironically came from that bad 2017 cartoon
