    He was so charming and real. And he showed vulnerability, which is endearing in my opinion. He had no showbiz guile, was straight-up and always respected his audience. He gave 150%.

    Great memories of these shows and songs. Loved Del and all his songs. Sorry for how he felt and what happened. He may be gone but not forgotten for sure

      Del's wife Bonnie said that since Del started taking meds for his depression seemed he got worse. He had constantly complained he didn't feel well. Dan Bourgeois his manager wanted to send him on tour . Because his manager asked him what was wrong and Del said that everything was wrong. Wasn't anyone concerned about the man's well being ? Whatever happened they should've encouraged the man to see the Doctor. But his wife sued the Pharmaceutical company after Del's death . He may be gone but not forgotten .

      I almost feel that if Del could have had more contact with Dick Clark, later in his life, he might still be here...still rockin’!!!

    He was humble and simple because Del always cared for his fans. Mainly that was his No 1 concern . The " Drop Down Me And Get Me " LP is a great song album but it's available on CD . It's worth listening to because Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are his back up band on that album.

    Del was almost in the Traveling Wilburys with Tom Petty but Del took his own life 2 months before the Wilburys recorded their second and final album. They recorded a cover of Runaway, which was sung by Jeff Lynne, who produced Del's final album.

      @happyolddude 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sorry but that statement about joining the Wilburys is simply not true. It was never going to happen even if he lived. Try a certain tablet for the reason. His wife left him at home to go shopping and came back and saw what had happened. I was in touch with his wife (Lee)after the shooting and she still to this day blames the drug.

    They kinda glanced over Howie Epstein a star in his own right. Howie would go on to become a producer in later years for. John Prine and arlene Carter. Reviving both their careers. He also played with Petty a number of years before he had to drop out for "personal reasons" He died recently I understand. A great talent. He was only 47. Too young.
