    that tired feeling is the worst and I’m sure I’m not even imagining it as intense as you’re feeling it!

    What a wonderful gift to help someone out. Especially around the holidays. That’s so kind of you. I’ve always been interested in this but know nothing about the process or health wise what is expected from me.

      Yeah I had to do a ton of research. Fill out numerous papers and an 11 page application. It took nearly 6 months to even start the first donation. It’s a lot of commitment. I had to drive to appointments three days a week for a few weeks. But I’m so happy I can help another family receive the ultimate gift. Becoming a parent has changed my life and others deserve that as well.

    I’m so glad everything went well ❤️ the numbers are crazy. I think they took like 23 eggs from me and out of those they got 5 good embryos

      They took 27 last time and I think 12 good one. This time was 12 and they got 9.

    For how many days are you to inject the medication given, Before the surgery? And what's the surgery process? Do they pen you up?

      Honestly I don’t remember a lot of the details! You’d have to ask a clinic these questions

    This was so interesting! Thanks for sharing! Have you made a video or anything about how/why you chose to donate? I’ve never really heard much about egg donation 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Hello!! I wanted to know… at the end, how many injections did you need? Once a day for 7 days? 14 days? Thank you

    • @Julieryantiffany
      @Julieryantiffany  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly I don’t really remember. I feel like it was once a day and then the last day I had to wake up at midnight and do one but I’m not sure

  • @RobHaley
    @RobHaley 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow I had no clue how the injection process worked!

    So does this throw off your cycle then? Since they’re basically taking the eggs out for you?

    • @RobHaley
      @RobHaley 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh nvm you just answered lol

    • @Julieryantiffany
      @Julieryantiffany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope! It comes back right on time. Just instead of producing one egg your producing multiple because of the hormone injections. You just become MUCH more bloated then a normal cycle, crampy, moody, you know like menstrual symptoms TIMES TEN.

    Do you feel that you've had any long term side affects or illnesses related to your donations?

    • @Julieryantiffany
      @Julieryantiffany  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing I have found is losing weight has been extremely difficult especially in my lower stomach area. I gained about 10 pounds after and was never able to lose it!

    Hi at what point did you get selected by a recipient to be a donor? How long after being accepted did you get picked?

    • @Julieryantiffany
      @Julieryantiffany  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Every program is different. The first time took about six months where as the second one took about two months.

    How long does the actual surgery take?

    • @Julieryantiffany
      @Julieryantiffany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It normally takes about a half hour while under general anesthesia.
