    Will the beard fit in the main compartment?

    Thanks for the great review. I'm glad that Gregory finally made a 85 liter bag. That's just about right for all my gear. I'm not ultra light weight, so I need room for my gear.

    I have the previous generation of this.. It was expensive but I have never used a better pack in my life.. simply amazing.. looks like this newer model kept a lot of the same design that has been a winner for this pack over the years...this pack handles heavy loads very very well.

    I love the review on this pack, thank you. Before deciding if it's worth the extra money I would love to see a review on the Gregory Stout 75 for comparison. I'll be watching your channel to see if you can make this possible.

    I bought the Gregory Baltoro (2014) Waist pocket is mesh, lumbar support not removal-able and no rain cover.... I'm only disappointed about the rain cover. After trying on several packs at Moosejaw (seem like let just let me go wild and tried what I wanted and kind of made a mess, which I helped clean up) the gregory fit like a glove.... so so so comfortable. Money very well spent.

    Question for Backcountry Edge and everyone else: Do you prefer the red over the black, or vise versa, and why?

    i can't decide between the 75 and 65. I don't have ultra gear but def light gear so I could make due with less then 65 liters I'm sure. at the same time i need room for rapelling / canyoning gear :/

    Nice Vid. What kind of features does the Baltoro 75 provide over the Stout 75? I can't seem to figure them out yet the baltoro is about 100€ more.

    I loved the 2013 model, however the 2015 model sucks. It hurt and was uncomfortable. I returned mine and went with a osprey instead.

    do you have full access from the front of the pack? or just a limited access?

      Alvaro Germain! I own the 85 and it does have full access from the front through a duo U-shaped zipper

    Can the top lid of this backpack be transformed into a fanny pack? This was possible on the previous version of the Baltoro 75

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tholok97 Good question. The updated Baltoro does not have the fanny pack capability, but it does sport a new, Ultra-light internal hydration sleeve that can be completely removed and used as a day pack.

    does it have those straps at the bottom of the for your tent or something like it?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This pack does indeed come with straps around the sleeping bag compartment. Generally, they're used for sleeping pads or larger, more bulky items. Depending on the quality of your tent materials, it may be a better idea to store that inside the pack for its own protection.

    How big is the hydration sleeve? Will it hold a 3 liter Camelbak? Or only a 2 liter?

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jeff Bixby This pack should fit up to a 3 Liter hydration bladder comfortably. Thanks for watching!

    • @Steve-uv9kb
      @Steve-uv9kb 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jeff Bixby Easily fits a 3 liter but it does extend into the main compartment a bit. Love this though - I have the 65L and it is comfortable well up to 50lb loads. Get it fit right and this thing is a beast! Great organization - even the space in the 3 pockets on the lid is crazy

    Besides the size differences, how does the Gregory Paragon stack up to this pack? I found the Baltoro to fit perfectly but it was pricey.

    • @Enwild
      @Enwild  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Paragon is a much lighter pack, therefore it will not hold as much weight as the Baltoro. The straps and hip belt are built very differently and likely won't provide the exact same fit as the Baltoro. You won't experience the flex and automatic adjustment that you do with the Baltoro packs. The trade-off is that the Paragon has loads of trail-friendly features but comes in at a significantly lighter weight. It's also highly adjustable to fit many different users.

    • @Steve-uv9kb
      @Steve-uv9kb 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thats actually not a bad price for a pack this good and made with quality. Take care of it and you can get a decade or more out of it. And seriously - saving money on a pack you will take on multiple day treks isn't wise. If your shoulders and hips are screaming and your 100 miles from the car - you'd gladly pay $200 on the spot for some comfort!

    • @eddyneedsahobby

      crunkinthis its a lot but will last for years and years, comes with a rain cover and day pack that helps the value a ton! Probably would spend another $100 for those items that are included with the pack ! I can't decide between the sizes and can't try them on either because i live in Mississippi lol

    I agree in that his beard is somewhat distracting, (I just may follow suit) however, he is seemingly well informed in the product's he is pushing... As well as a grasp on appropriate vocabulary...
    A decent sales "pitch.."
