Hey Atif. You're probably correct on the overwatering. We don't have enough zones on our irrigation system to regulate it on trees like these that probably could actually use less water than some of our others. Glad yours are doing well!
You know I am not sure what I am going to be planting this next year. The garden I have not is really an experiment. I know I have made some major mistakes but will definitely not make them again. My back yard is still a blank canvas to work with. And my wife isn’t really fully on board with self sustaining living yet. She doesn’t want to look at our back yard and see nothing but a garden😢 so I have a lot to figure out.

Great questions. We planted these pretty close together with less than 10 feet between trees. We really like the Wonderful and Grenada varieties, but this Angel Red is very good as well.
Hi. Sorry if Ive previously asked this. You have red pomegranate trees mine bears yellow to white " insides". Do red pomegranate trees have thorns and its stems particularly the tip have reddish color? Thanks in advance for sharing your answer. 🙏
Hey there Selene. The varieties we grow are all either red or pink and they all have thorns on the trees. The tip of the stems do start out with some red in it.
Hmm, that's very strange. Our pomegranates always set fruit very heavy and then the birds get pretty much all of it over the summer. I'm not really sure what it could be. Do you keep consistent irrigation and fertilizing throughout the year?
I grow pomegranate in East Africa, about 750 trees covering 3 acres. They are 2 years old and capable of producing twice a year because of the tropical climate of 2 rainy seasons. My problem will be bugs, especially leaf footed bags because i saw them on the 1st trial harvest in July this year. What is the purpose and effectiveness of organza bags ( or sox bags)? Do they protect the fruits from both flying pests and birds? How much does Amazon sell those organza bags?
Hey Kyasa. Wow, 750 pomegranate trees is one heck of an operation. Congratulations! The organza bags are effective for most birds and also bugs when they are attached properly against the stem. We have leaf footed bugs and these will work for that as well. I'll link to Amazon for the size we use for our pomegranates. You may need to adjust the size based on the fruit size, but it will give you an idea of how they function. amzn.to/3BfGKpK These are not cheap for the quantities you'll need, so I would test these first to ensure they'll still be effective for you.
Hey Malini. I'm sure the fruit sox would probably work also, but we're trying to get as much space between the bird and the fruit. They still peck through the organza bag even though it's not always directly on the fruit. Plus the organza bags are pretty cheap on Amazon. Haven't priced the sox though so it may be a wash.
@@RSZ-Channel Hmm, I'm not sure how well a pomegranate tree would do in a pot, but you would need one that could hold the weight of the tree and also the fruit which are quite heavy. We use concrete pots here as they are very heavy and hold up to the weather. You can use standard potting soil and you'll want to make sure you have a few inches left at the top for some type of woody mulch. This will keep the soil moisture consistent. Last thing would be to make sure you are watching the moisture content, especially when you get to Fall and the fruit starts to ripen. If you water too much the skin will split.

Your climate is different then were i live (MN) It is fun to watch what goes on in other parts of the USA.
